The meeting was called to order et ?;Z0 o'clock p.m. by Trustee G.W.Holston, President of the
Board.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found the following Trustees present, to-wit;-
Trustees, A.J.Eschelbach, L.O.Hardy Jr.,H.Scam~ini, G.W.Holston.
Absent, Trustees, F.A.Cunningham. f
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Scampini seconded by
Trustee Hardy and regularly carried were approved as read.
A communication was received from Poundmaster Emerson, stating that Ae had appointed John Cast~
a Deputy Poundmaster and asking the Board's approval of the appointment. The Clerk was instructed to
advise the Poundmas~er to have Hr. Castro on hand at the next meeting for their consideration.
A~communication was received ~rom the Sc,S.F.Land & I~,~. ce.acknowledging receipt of the Cit~,:s
letter requesting that a strip of land be deeded to the city running from ~inden Boulevard to Ta~for~
and stating that the matter ~ould be brought to the attention of the Executive C~mmitteo at the firs1
meeting. Comminication ordered filed.
Redwood City,Post, No.105, American Legion wrote inviting the city to participate in a parade w~
a float st Pacific City on Armistice Day November llth next.Action deferred until the local Post can
consulted in the matter. .
Ambrose Hcgweeney petitioned the Board for permission to construct a concrete foundation and fl
in the laundry building, #6 Grand Avenue. Permission granted.
Judge E.E.Cunningham petitioned the Board for a permit to construct a two story concrete buildi
of three room apartments, on Lot ~thirteen, Block ~1~4, Hap of South San Francisco, together with leu
garages witA~concret~ floors on the same lot,all in accordinance with the building and fire ordinance
the City of South San Framcisco. Permit ~ranted.
A communication was received from the ~outh Ran Francisco ~erch~nts Association requesting th
Board to issue an order prohibiting turkey raffling. The City Earshal ~as instructed by the Bozrd to
notify poolrooms and other places where such games might be held to hold no turkey raffles. The Eerc
Association also requested the Board to amend the pre~ent Peddling 0rdins.nce by changing the amount
~50 per annum to a daily ta~ of ~lO, the s~e to be payable in advance.Action

The Pacific Gee & }~lectriCm Company petitioned the Board for p~e~rmission to set one pole on Bade:
Avenue in the 600 block for service for A Desordo. Referred to street Committee.
Edgar ~ewis of the Service garaFe offered the City the use of a light Reo truck for the Fire
Dep~rt~ent during repsirs to the City Fire truck, the same to be free of charge. Referred to the Fire
Fire Chief Trua~ received Twenty-five fro~ the ~idows and Orphans aid Association of the £a~
Francisco Fire Department and submitted the same to the Board. On motion regularly carried the clerk ~
instructed to ~'end ~ check to the Association for ~'enty-five dollars for ~he tickets.

paid. The motion was seconded by Trustee Hardy and regu]_arly carried.
