November 6th,1922.
The meeting was called to order at 7;30 o'clock p.m. by Trustee G.W.Holston, President of the
]~oard.
ROI~ CALL.
RolI call foung the following Trustees present;to-wit,
Trustees, F.A.Cunningham, L.G.Hardy Jr., H.Scampini, G.W.Holston.
Absent, Trustee, A. J.~schelbach.
Trustee Eschelbach appeared after roll call.
The minutes of the two previous meetings were read and upon motion of Trustee Eschelbach
'seconded by Trustee Cunningham and regularly carried were approved as read.
The request of-a Carnival Company for permission to operate a Merry-gp-round and Ferris wheel
during Armistice Day festivaties was denied.
Roderick Tibbetts made application for appointment as building and sewer Inspectom, should au
a position be created by the Board. Appliwation ordered filed.
A petition was received from six residents in Juniper Avenue protesting against building
construction work being done by Lorenzo Camariamo on Juniper Avenue,' stating the same is not being done
according to the CitY buildAng laws. The Board of Trustees deoided to inspect the premises personally.,
The Metal and Thermit Company of this city submitte~ ~ communication to the Board asking its'
.consideration in the matter of.placing sidewalks On Swift Avers, and offering to pay a fair share of t
" cost of construction of the same. Mr. Edwards of the America~Marble and Mosaic Company spoke in favor
~ ~the proposition and urged the Board to give the matter early consideration on account of the approachin:

work and will look over the ground in person during the week.
,.- A communication was received from the Merchants' Association stating that it is their underst
ing that the Foster & Kleiser Company, under the name of the Foster &'Kleiser Out-door AdvertisingComp
is making certain arrangements with municipalities for the erection and maintenance of advertising sign.
showing the advantages of the respective municipalities, and asking, the Board to co-operate in seeing
what arrangements could be made in placing signs at the different entrances to South San FranciscO. The
Clerk was instructed to write to the advertising company and ask what sort of terms or conditions are
required for this class of advertisement.
Permission was granted the Loyal Order of Moose to hold a dance in Fraternal Hall Saturday
evening November llth, and also Sunday from Nine until'~ twelve.
~5 Panama Pacific Exhibition Lodge was granted permission to hold a dance in Fraternal Hall
Thanksgiving eve. November ~0th next, to last until 2 a.m.
A light was ordered placed on Maple Avenue at the intersection of Pine Terrace. One was also
Ordered placed about the center of the block on Baden Avenue between Orange and Eucalyptus A~enues.
City E~gin6er Kueese was instructed to prepare plans and specifications for sidewalks on both
..,;aides of Grand Avenue extension.
~; The subject of a sewer and sanitary storm water sys~m for the East side of San Bruno Road wa~
~broUght to the attention of the Board. After discussion it was decided to hold an election'for a bond
for the construction of the work, and the ~ity Attorney was instructed to commence proceedings.
Attention of the Board being called to the unprotected condition of Industrial Way. the Board
agreed to inspect the road with a view to erecting a fence on the West side for the safety of the publi,

I. were next read. The report of the City Recorder showed collections of ~16.00 for the month, while the
~ort of the City Clerk shoved the following balances,in the various funds;-
