November 20th,1922.
The meeting was called to Order at 7;S0 o'clock p.m. by Trustee G.W.Holston, President o:
the Board.

Roll call found the following Trustees present, to-wit;-
Trustees F.A.Cunningham,~.G.Hardy Jr.,and G.W.Holston.

A communicatisn was received from W.W~Brawn making application for the position of
building Inspector. Application ordered placed ~n file.
Francis Drake Zodge $376 F.& A.M made application for permission to hold a dance on
~turday evening November 25th,1922, the same to last until midnight. Permission granted.
J.W.Virgin petitdoned ~the Board for permission to out'down two Eucalyptus trees which, he
stated were ~artly on his property. Referred to the street committee for investigation.
· Rev. J.P.Moranmade a, written request for permission to re-plaster the exterior of his
church building,,,corner Walnut and Miller Avenues. Granted.
School Trustees Dinning, Cavassa and Conrad petitioned the Board to construct sidewalks~
on the north side of Zinden Avenue from Armour Avenue to Peck's Lots, for the benefit of the school
c~i~ren and others living in that vicinity. Referred to the engineering department for a report. .~.:~
'~- An ~p~li~atio~. fo~'a soft drink license was received from Lawrence Pera, S.P.Hotel, Co~]~e~
Grand Avenue and San Bruno Road. License refused.
City Trustee L.G.Hardy tendared his resignation as City Trustee to the Board, asking that.
the same take effect the last day of November.,1922. On motio~ of Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee~
Esahel~ach 'the resignation was acaepted, for October
The reports of the City ~reasurer and City Nurae~were received and read'to the Board.
On motion of Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Eschelbach the reports were accepted.
Lights were reported out at San-Bruno Road and'Butler Road, Randolph Avenue andSan Bruno
Hoad and at California and San Bruno Road. The City Clerk was instructed to communicate with the lightiz
and request that the lights be put in order.
The street committee was instructed to look into street conditions at Green and Chapman
avenues and Randolph and Braden Avenues, Peck's Lots, where it was reported the streets are in need ·
of repairs.
Edward Farrell, Justice of the Peace_elect, appeared before the Board and requested per-
mission to hol~ court in the City Hall Building. He was advised by the Board to confer with Judge
Cunningham, and if possible, make arrangements with him to us~ the same court room.
~.Canariano appeared before the Board in reference to his building on Juniper Avenue,which
was reported overlapping the sidewalk line. The Board decided to made another visit of investigation~
to the place.
Appointment of a successor to fill the vacancy to be left by Trustee Z.G.Hardy Jr. the fi~s{
of December now being in order Trustee Cunningham momed that William Pitt be appointed to the positiom.
The me,ion was Seconded by Trustee Eschelbach and carried by.the following vote;-
Ayes, 2rustee, F.A.Cunningham, A.J.Eschelb~ch, Z.G.Hardy Jr., H.Scampini and G.w. Holston.
Noes, Trustee, None.
Absent, Trustees, None.
The following claims against the city were next presented for payment;-

be paid. The motion was ~econded.by Trustee Cunningham and regularly carried.
