February 19th,192~.
The meeting was called to order at ?:~0 o'clock p. m. by Trustee G.W.Holston, President of the
Board.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found the following Truste~s~preSent,to-wit;-
F.A.Cunningham,~A.J.Eschelbach, J.W.Pitt, G.W.Holston.
Absent, Trustees, H.Sc~mpini.
Trustee Scampini appeared after roll call.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Eschelbach seconded by
Trustee Cunninghsm and regularly carried were approved as read.
A.Barsuglia, 222 Lux Avenue,presented a petition and plans for a two story frame dwelling and
~garage to be erected on Hot #5, Block ~lZ?, I~Iap of South San Framciaco, and requesting building ~ermit
for the same. Permit granted,
An a~plication was received from Fern La~esis requesting p,~rmission to open a moving picture
and Vaudeville show in this city. Nr. L~besis stated that if permission ~ere granted he would
furnish plans and specifications and give the location selected. Pres~ Holston e~plained
to ~r. Labesis that plans and specifications ander the building laws are required to be submitted to
the Bosrd for first consideration.
Assistant Engineer Robert Klassen appeared before the Board and announced that plans for the
Construction of sidewalks in Grand Avenue Extension and Swift Avenue were being p~epared and submitted
drafts of the same for the Board's supervision. He was instructed to proceed as fast as possible with
the work.
The matter of sewering in sections of the city now untapped was taken up and the city attorney
instructed to commence proceedings to hold ~ bond election to take care of the~problem.
Contractor E.~.Stickles appeared b~fore the Board and announced that he was contracting to
construct a number of houses for the So. S.F.Land Co. and ~sked information as the inspection of the.
same. The President sf the Board stated that an inspector should be appointed at once as the ordinance
creating the office of building Inspector is now in force. Accordingly W.W.Brawn was appointed buildi
Inspector by the unanimous vote of the Board.
The president of the Board announced the appointment of A.J.Eschelbach to represent th~ city
on the committee to wait upon the ~nited Railroads of San Francisco and urge better transportation
facilities for the people of South San Francisco, particularly the improvement of terminal connections
at Hiep~ig Station.

The bills having been approved by the finance committee Trustee Cunningham moved they
be paid. 5he motion was seconded by Trustee Eschelbach and regularly~carried. ~
~here being no further business before the Bo~rd Trustee Cunningham moved to adjourn.u
