Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the bity of a South San Francisco held Monday,
March 5th,192S.
In the absence of Trustee Holston Trustee F.A.Cunningham acted as President pro rem and calle~
the meeting to order at 7;30 o'clock p.m.
Roll Call.
Roil call found the following Trustees present,to-wit;-
F.A.Cuhningham, A.J.Eschelbach, J.W.Pitt, H.Scampini.
Absent, Trustee G.W.Holston. Trustee Holston appeared after roll call and took the chair as
President of the Board.
The minutes of the two previous meetings were read and upon motion of Trustee Cunningham
seconded by Trustee Eschelbach and regularly carried were anproved as read.
A communication was received from S.Nieri asking fo~ a permit to construct a concrete garage
in the rear of lot 16, block 125, map of South San francisco, and also asking that the pole in front
of his new place of business, same lot, be removed. Permit to build was granted. The clerk was instruct~
to write the Market Street Railway and request that the pole be removed, and a~so the one in front of
lot 18, block 124.
Eugene H.Edwards of the Ldwards ~ire Company sent a letter of thanks to the city officials
~and the fire department for the orompt action and efficient service rendered by the fire department
in connection with the burning of the Company's building on February 20th.
M.C.Koop made application for ~ ~ pool room license for the location'#~2$ Grand Avenue.

' ini.Absen~, Health Officer J.C.~c~overn reported unsanitary conditions at Liepsic junction and at the
Northwest corner of Railroad Avenue and Spruce Avenue. He was instructed to get in touch with Superviso~
Hickey and County ~ealth Officer Dr. Smith with regard to the nuiaance at Liepsic Junction, as it is
outside of the City limits, and to notify the owners of the nroperty at Spruce & Railroad Avenues to
abate ~he nuisance there.
The reports of the late and present City Recorder, Fire 6hief, City Marshal. City Treasurer
and City Clerk for the month ending February 28th were received. The office of City Eecorder showed
collections of ~1567 for the month, while the Clerk's report showed the following balances in the vario~
funds;- General Fung, ~25,517.18, Librar$ Fund,~Z,704.Z0, Sinking fund for Sewers, $1,816.34, Factory
District Sewer Fund,~T19.82, 1919 B~nds,~7,50Z.27, Anti'tubercular fund.S192.08, Street BOnds, Set "A"

and regularly carried the reports were accepted as read.

The bills having been approved by the finance committee Trustee Cunningham moved they be ~
paid. The motion was seconded by Trustee Eschelbach and regularly carried.
There being.no further business before the Board Trustee Pitt moved to adjourn until Monday,
March 12th,1923, at 7;30 o'clock p.m. The motion was seconded by Trustee Scampini and regularly carried.
