Monday. March 12t~,1923.
In the absence of the President Of the Board Trustee F.A.Cunningham acted as President pro rem
and called the meeting to order at ?;ZO o'clock p.m.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found the following Trustees present, to-wit,
Trustees F.A.Cunningham, A.J.Eschelbach,and J.W.Pitt.
Absent, Trustees G.W.Holston and H.Scampini.
Trustee Scampini appeared after roll call.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Eschelbach seconded by
Trustee Pitt and regu].arly carried were approved as read.
A communication was reeeived from J.H.Young making application for the work of sweeping
streets. There being no vacancy in this line of work at the present time the clerk was instructed to
write the applicant and state that his name would be considered should a change occur.
The report of the City nurse for the month ending February 28th was received and on motion of
Trustee Pitt seconded by Trustee Scampini was accepted as read.
An applicatior '~ for a soft drink license was received from L. Bartoli 206 Grand Avenue. Laid
over until repairs on his buildin~ complying with the soft drink ordinance shall have been completed.
The application of Ernest Galli for a soft drink li.cense was granted by the following voter
Ayes, Trustees, F.A.Cunningham, J.W.Pitt, H.Scampini.
Noes, Trustees, A.J.Eschelbach.
Absent, Trustees G.W.Holston.
The application~ of C.T.Connolly, Felice Broncchini, Richard E.Setter~ Casimir Christen
for soft drink licenses were granted by the following vote~-
Ayes, Trustees, F.A.Cunningham, ~.J.Eschelbach, J.W.Pitt H.Scampini.
Noes, Trustees, None.
A~sent, Trustees, G.W.Holston,
All apolications were accompanied by freeholder bonds,acceptable to the Bo~rd of Trustees.
Complaint was made by residents of Peck's Lots that the Spring Va21eY Water Company had neglected
to repair the sidewalks in the vicinity of Chapman Avenue and San Bruno Road, where their pipe line
was recently lowered. The clerk was'instructed to write the company and request that the repairs be
made as soon as possible.
The following claims against the city were next presentod for payment;-

The billshaving been audited by the finance committee Trustee Eschelbach moved they
be paid. The motion was seconded by Truatee Pitt and regularly carried.
There being no ~urther business before the Bo~rd Trustee Scampini moved to adjourn
until the ne~t regular meeting, ~onday, ~arch 19th,1923. The ~otion ~as seconded by Trustee Pitt and
regularly carried.
