HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1923-06-18 REGULAR ME~:TING 0F TME BOARD 0F TRUSTEES THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,HELD MONDAY,JUNE 18th,1923. The Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco met in regular session in the City Hall on Monday June 18th, 1923. In the absence of the President of the boa,rd, G.W.Holston. Trustee F.A,Cunningham acted as President Pro Tem and called the meeting to order at ?;30 o'clock p.m. ROI~ CALL. Roll call found the following Trustees present, to-wit. Trustees, F.A.Cunningham. J.W.Pitt, H,Scampini, Absent, Trustees, A.J.Eschelbach, G.W.Holston. Trustee Eschelbach appeared after roll call. The minutes of the orevious meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Pitt seconded by Trustee Scampini,and regularly carried were approved as read. A petition was received from V.Boido of the South San Francisho Bakery asking for a permi to construct a reinforced concrete building on his lot ~7, block #125. on the North side of Grand Avenue between Linden and Maple Avenues. Permit granted. The laid over aoplicationsof Gracia and Perez of the South City Hotel. 220 Grand Avenue, for a soft drink license and a pool room license was taken up and on recommendation of Marshal Cent granted by the following vote;- Ayes, Trustees, F.A.Cunningham, A,J.Eschelbach, J.W,Pitt, H.Scampini. Noes, Trustees, None. Absent, Trustee G.W.Holston. The reports of the City school nurse and City Treasurer for the month ending May 31st.192 were read and upon motion of Trustee Scampini secended by Trustee Pitt and regularly carried were accepted. The City Clerk stated the tax and other books would be ready for audit June 30th, the end o~ the fiscal year. Acting President Cunningham instructed him to secure the services of Auditor G.W.Gilder% to audit the city's books. The following claims against the city were next oresented for payment;- P.Ricco. Clearing weeds $ 20,00 S.F.Motor Drayage Co 3rd est Grading C.C.Site ~1185.00, $ 275.00. Enterprise Pub. Co Printing 0rd 120 etc Pacific Tel & Tel Co City phones Standard 0il Co Calol oil D.McSweeney Stamps Clerk's Marshal's offices. The motion was seconded by Trustee Pitt ~nd regularly carried, This being the date set for the opening of bids for s eOt bonds under proceedings 46 and 48, School ~treet and Peck%s Lots, Acting President Cunningham ssk~d if there were'any bids. There we none. No further bu~nes~appearing before the Board Trustee Pitt moved to adjourn until the ne regular meeting.
