OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,
HELD DECEMBER 17th,1923.
The regu!ar meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South san Francisco was
held Monday, December 17th,192Z, in the City Hall.
The meeting was called to order at ?;30 ~.m. by Trustee G.W.Holston, President of tl
Board.

Roll call found all trustees present, to-wit;-
Trustees F.A.Cunningham, A.J.Eschelbach, J.W.Pitt,H.Scampini, G.W.Holston.
The minutes of the previous meeting were re~d, ~nd upon motion by Trustee Scar~pini,
seconded by Trustee Pitt and regularly carried were approved as read.
A communication was received from the Chami~er of Commerce of South San Francisco re~
the city to take some action toward procuring a suitable system of street signs for the city. A~
discussion of many suggestions the board decided to refer the matter to the purchasing committee
A petition signed by forty-three persons, ~ro~ertY owners, residents or interested'
was submitted to ~he board, asking for a system of lights in ~os Ceritos~ section of the city. i
was decide~ to refer the matter to the street committee for investigation and report.
Peter Mariani made application to the board to be relieved fro~ his bond on the sol'
d~ink license of Romey Berrettoni, Tan Foran Hotel. By the advice of the City Attorney the reque~
not granted.
Trustee Cunningham proposed that Railroad Avenue between Spruce & ~agnolia Avenues
Magnolia Avenue fron Railroad to Commercial Avenues, the alley between Linden & ~aple,Miller & L~
Avenues and the alley between Cypress ~nd Linden Lux and California Avenues be included in the p~
street improvement and paved with concrete ~nd asphaltum. The proposition being favorably consid~
by the board Trustee Cunningham put the same in motion form. The motion was seconded by Trustee
$campini and regularly carried.
An application for a soft drink license was received from J.Garcia, South City Hotel
and granted by the following'vote;-
Ayes, Trustees, F.A.Cunningham, A.J.Eschelbach, J.W.Pitt, H.Scampini, G.W.Holston.
Noes, Trustees, None.
Absent, Trustees, None.
An application for a pool room license for the same ~arty and place was' granted by '
following vote;-
Ayes, Trustees F.A.Cunningham, A.J.Eschelbach, J.W.Pitt, H.Scamoini, G.W.Holston.
Noes, Trustees, None.
Absent, Trustees, None.

The bills having been approved by the finance committee Trustee Cunningham moved th,
be paid. The motion w~s seconded by Trustee Eschelbach and regularly carried.
There being no lurther business before bhe board Trustee Eschelbach moved to adjour~
until the next regular meeting, ~onday, January 7th,192~. The motion was seconded by Trustee Cu~
cunningham .and regularly carried.
