BOARD OF TRUSTEE2 OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRAI~CISC0,HELD JAI~UARY 14th,1924.
Pursuant to adjournment the Board of Trustees of the City of South San ~'rancisco met
in regular adjourned session in the City Hall on the 14th day of January, 1924
In the absence of the President of the Boa~d Trustee hschelbach moved that Trustee F.A.
Cunningham act as President Pro Tem. The motion was seconded by Trustee Pitt and regularly carried.
Trustee Cunninghan, acting as President of the Board, Pro tem., called the meeting to order
at ?;30 o'clock p.m..

Roll call found the following Trustees pre~ent, to,Wit;-
Trustees F.A.Cunningham, A.J.Eschelbach, J.W.Pitt and H. Scampini.
Absent, Trustees, G.W.Holston.
The minutes of the previous meeting ~'ere read and uDon motion by'Trustee Eschelbach, seconds
by Trustee Pitt and regularly carried were approved as read. ~,
A communication was received from the Pacific Coast Steel Company submitting figures showing
that they had expended the sum of $6970 in the construction of the reinforced cement concrete storm
water conduit across Swift Avenue at lndustria~ Way in the 5ity of South San Francisco. Communication
ordered filed.
A petition was received from the AvaIon Club asking for a permit to hold a dance in Fraterns
Hall Saturday evening, February 23rd,19~4. Granted/.
The Moise-K]inkner Company submitted a list of figures through Trustee Cunningham, pertainin
to the price of the new~,proposed street signs. The ~atter was referred back to the street committee
for further investigation.
Applications for soft drink licenses were received from John Venturi and Liattli &Duffy, and
granted by the followin~ vote;-
Ayes, Trustees, F.A.Cunningham,A.J.Eschelbamh, J.W.Pitt, H. Scampini.
Noes, Trustees, None.
Absent, Trustees, G.W.Holston.
ORDINANCE ~122.
An ~rdin~nce Entitled "An ordinance directing and providing for the incurring of bonded
indebtedness of the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation, in the County of San i~ateo,
State of California,in the sum of Fifty-eight Thousand ($58.000) D°llars,gold coin of the United
States of America, to.pay the cost of certain municipal improvements in and for said ~ity of South
San Francisco, authorized at a special election held in said City on the Third day of December, 1923,
and providing for the issuance of bonds evidencing such indebtedness, specifying the form o£ said
bonds, providing for a tax levy for the Dayment thereof and creating a municipal improvement fund~,
was formally introduced by Trustee Sc~mDini and laid over to come up in the regular order of business
at the nox~ regular ~eeting of the Board of Trustees.
