The regular meeting of the Board of True-tees of the City o£ South £an Francisco was held in
the City Hall Monday evening, June lst,1925
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 o'clock p.m. by ~rustee H.F.~cNellis, President of
the board.

Roll call found all trustees present, to-wit;-
krustees, C.Blank,F.A.Cunningham,A.J.Eschelbach,~i.McCaffrey,H.F.McNellis.
The minutes of the.?revious meeting were read. There being no errors or omissions they were
approved as 'read.
The Pacific Gas & Electric Company made written request for permission to set poles on Olive
Avenue to supply j Garcia with service. ~eferred ~o the street committee, The street committee
instructed the clerk to notify tae light company that permission is granted.
A communication was received z'rom Peter Pale notifying the Board of Trustees not to cut weeds
in front of his property, as same had been attente~ to du~'ing the week, Filed.
City attorney ~avis received a reply from the ~ailroad Commi~:sion stating due consideration
would be given the city in the matter of £ixing water rates.
Zequest was made by Mrs. E.~.Whit~emore for ~ refund of $5.09, charged for the alledged clear
of weeds in front of her property. Moved by Trustee Cunningnam~seconded by Trustee McOaf~rey tnat t
request be granted. Carried.
A communication was received from the l,,5eket Street ~ailway Company enclosing cheek [or ~580.
due the city on franchises. Filed.
Request for permiz£ion to hold a dance in Fraternal hall Saturday evening, June MOth next was
received £rom the Spanish Benevolent and Mutual Socie~y. Permission granted.
in the matter of increased ~ompensation rates for increased protectionfor the fireman Trustee
McCaffrey moved the city accept the increase~ rate. The motion sas seconded by Trustees Lschelbach
regularly carried.
Request was made by George A.Hensley through the city clerk for an extension of time in which
to pay the delinquent taxes and street assessment of the Santa ClRr Yalley Land Company at Town of
Baden. On motion by Trustee McCaffrey seconde~ by Trustee Eschelbach and regularly carried the requ
was granted and an extension of one year given.
The reports of the Yire Chief, City ~arshal and City ulerk ~;or the month ending May 31st,192
were next read. The report of the City Clerk shozeo the following balances in the various funds,;-
General Fund,S19,440.86, Library Fund, ~1490 99,1915 Sewer Fund ~Z533.7~, 1919 Bonds, $7037,4~,
1923 Bonds, $22,313.12, Street Imp.Fund, $33[00, Revolving Fund,~100.00, Street Assessment
Total balance in all f~nds,$58,259.32. On motion by Trustee Cunningham,seconded by Trustee E~chelba
and regularly.carried the reportS,were accepted.
Th~s being the date set for the hearing of protests against the paving of alleys and streets
as designated in Resolution of intention ~54, President ~icNellis asked if there were any persons
present who wished to protest against the work or any written protests against the same. There bein
none Trustee Cunningham introduced a resolution ordering the work, and setting the date for the
reception of bids as July 6th,1925 up to the hour o£ eight o'clock p.~n.
On roll call the resolution was passea and ado, ted by the following vote: Ayes,Blank,Cunningh
Eschelbach,McCaf£rey,McNellis. i~oes, None. Absent, None. Attest,Laniel IgcSweeney, City Clerk.

A petition was re~eiw~d from the School Board o£ Trustees of the City of 2outh ~ian Francisco
Elemementary ~chool District, asking the. city to abandon that portion o£ the alley in block 96
abutting u~on the property o£ the :]outh San FranciscO Elementary School District, between ~Lagnolia
and 0range Avenues and between Baden & Grand A'enues. lhe petition sas ~:ccepted and Trustee Rachel. b,
introduced a resolution ordering the work to bej~The r<~solution was perused ana adopted, kecorded in
Book of Resolutions, Vol 2, at page 51. Notice of the pa:sage of the ~e~olution of intention to
weeds & due notice having been published the legal length of time for the city to commence the cleari
