An application for a ~olt drink license was received ~rom George Aco~ta, 61~ Linden Avenue, Granted. An application for a building permit was received from the ~ich~'ield 0il Co., to construct ~a 1~0.00 v~or~h bi' buildings on ~heir property on San Br~o Road. 3ermit granted. An application i'or the position o~ c~retaker o~ ~he city'S d~?in~y ground was received from Charles Stubbleman, San Bruno. Application piace~ on ~'ile. City Electrical inspector ¥~i]liam Byrne appli~d i'or two wco~s leave of absence, recommending the appointment o~ ~il!iam Ely as substitute. Permission gr~nted, and WiRliam Ely appointed as his substitute. The Southern ?acific 0ompany replied to tlc city's letter ~oquesting t~em to repair the road way between their tracks in the vicinity of Swift Avenue, stating it would be looked into at once. The company alamo rep]ie~ to the city's letter asking for an estimate of the cost of installing a wig wag at the west end of 0range~ Avenue. The cost was fi~ed at approximately ~960, without the cost o£ connecting ~he bell circuit to the ~nitod i~ilroads. ~he city engineer was in~t~u~cted to look into the matter.
