OF THE CITY FT:OO m 1986. f The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco was held in the City Hall, l,londay evening, November 1st, 1926. The meeting was called to order at 7;ZO o'c].ock p.m. by trustee Cunningham, President of the Board of Trustees. ROLL CALL. Roll call found all trustees of the boa.rd present, to-wit,- Trustees, Esche!back, Lloyd, Minucciani, Tibbetts, Cunningham. The minutes of the previous meeting were read, and there being no errors or omissions were approved as read. A communication was received from Corrudet1: and Oescher, asking permission to build a hol!ov tile structure, 10 ~ 15 feet in dimensions in the rear of Z10 Grand Avenue. ~ermit granted. A cormmunication was received from Ray ~arker, chairman of dance con~}itte of the I.B.P.0.E asking ~,ermission %o hold a dance in Fraternal Hall, ~ovember 80th,1986. Not havin~ secured to hall for the occasion action was postponed ~mti'l the n~×t meeting. A con~unication was received from the :.anager of the Hotel Fresno inviting, this city's representatives to stop at his hotel durin~ the convention of th~ State Traffic League, November ~8, 19, 80, next. The clerk was instructed to reply stating the City ~arshal would be in attendance and possible President Cunningham. Attorney John F.Davis, representing Jesus Garcia, 507 San Bru_uo R~.ad, appeared before the in behalf of L~r. Garcia, who wishes to open a shoe and clothing store at 'the above addrers. ~gr. Davis stated the location is in the business district, no license required to ope/~ business 'there and that he so in~'tructed his client. Fatter referred to the Ciyy Attorney. A petition was received from ZZ residents and property owners of Town of ~aden, asking for ti installation of water mains and hydrants in their district. Referred-to the fire committee. A request for a duplicate check for ~)rinting in the sum of ~89.00 was made by E.E.Bramble of Enterprise Press, check No.A054 for the same having apparently been lost in t~e mails. The clerk wa~ instructed to stop payment on the lost check and issue a new one. A communicate!on w~s received from the League of California Eunicipalities calling the bosrd'~ attention the convention of the Municipal Traffic League to 'be held in Fresno November 18,]9,g0,19~6, and asking for the names of this city's representatives to be sent to the convention. The clerk was instructed to reply stating the chief of police would be in attendance, and possibly Presindent Cunningham. Requests for permission to set poles in Miller & Magnolia Aves and Miller & Eucalyptus Avenu( were received from the Pacific Gas & Electric ComTany. Referred to the street committee. The street committee instructed the clerk to write the company granting the request. The Gordon Rowe Company submitted a statement pertaining to the installation of a new municipal accounting system, offering I;o :~ake the installation for the sum of ~750, and the monthly audit for ~85 for a period of three years. Laid over nntil a future meeting. An application for a soft drink license was received from Guiseppe 3eroni for the lacation ~51 San Bruno Road. Permit granted. Attorney John F.Davis, re~resenti~n~ ?s~]. ?erussina regardin~ ~ claim i'o~ salary submitted an affidavit~ from Charles 2torek, ex-police, chief, stating Paul 2erussina was a city police officer on ~ay 6th last, end on that date w:s in~ured ~n the performance of h.is duty, and that on the first day Juno lass saia Paul P~rus~ina wasi~s.till a city policeman,to the be~t of his knowledge and belief. An affidavit 'was also sub~ itted to the board by Paul Perussina in substantially the same form and asking for salary for the month of June, 1986. Referred to the city attorney for }nvestigation. The reports of the Fire and Police Chief were read to the board and accepted. E. Hilani, lowest bidder on the job of }~ainting the city hall notified the clerk he would be unabl~ to ~roceed with the work owing to the scarcity of labor. The next lowest bidder was ~,Ande] The clerk was instructed to write Mr. Anderson notifying him that he may enter into a contract to do the painting. Trustee Tibbetts introduced a resolution approving diagram assessment under resolution of Intention ~56, the improvement of Chestnut Avenue. The resolution was ado?tad by the unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees, To-witw Ayes, trustees, Eschelbach, Lloyd, 1Zinucciani, Tibbetl. s, Cunningham. Hoes, trustees, none.
