CITY OF SOUTH SAlf FPJ~L~CISC0,HELD ~IONDAY,
JUNE -6 TH, 19 2 ?.
A regular meeting of _the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco was held
on Monday, June 6th,192?,
By reason of the death of Trustee F.A.Cunningham, President of said Board of Trustees,
Trustee A.J.Eschelbach was chosen by the unanimous vote of all trustees present to act as President
pro tern. of said Board o~ Trustees.
This meetin.:; was' called to order at 7,c0 o clock p.m. by trustee A.J.Lschelbach, acting
as President pro rem. of said Board of Trustees.
Roll call found the following trustees present, to-wit;
A.J,Eschelbach,Reese Lloyd, .~[.Minucciani and R.Tibbetts.
The City Clerk then presented to said Board of Trustees th~. certificate filed, in his offic'e
showing the ~eath of F.A.Cunningham on the 26th day of May, 1927,
Thereupon Trdstee A.J.Eschelbach was nominated by trustee Lloyd for the office of Presidenl
of said Board of Trustees and, u?on roll call, was elected P.resident of Said Board of Trustees by
the unanimous vote of'a:l trustees present.
The minutes of ~he meeting of said Board of Trustees held on the 16th day of May, 1927
were read and upon motion made trustee Lloyd, seconded by trustee Minucciani and regularly carried,
were approved as read.
The minutes of the meeting of said Board of Trustees held on ~he 23rd~day of ~iay, 1927,
were read, and upon motion made by trustee Tibbetts, seconded by Trustee ~Cinucciani, and regularly
carried, were approved as read.
The minutes of the meeting of said Board of Trustees held on tho Slst, day of May, 1927,
were read, and u!:on motion made by trustee Mi~ucciani, seconded by'trustee Tibbetts and regularly
carried, were approved as read.
City Engineer Gee A.Eneese submitted a final statement and estimate of Lar£,on Brothers,
contractors on the grading of the C~vic Center, showing ~461.~6 due for e:.:tra work and ~2159.40
due on the fimal estimate with 25% retained amounting to ~.1987.Z0, payable after .!July 8th,192?.
Accet~ted and clai~ referredlto finance committee.
Chas Bollazzi made a~plicstion to the board for permis.~ion to install' g 120 gallon
gasoline' tank and pump in his garage in the alley in the rear of his store SS7 Grand Avenue. He
was instructed to await the necessary %end~y.~ after posting notice of intention to request the
permit.
George C.Moore, Stanfo~'d Uniw~rsity, made aT'plAcation for the position of Engine Driver
in the Fire De?artment. As no vacancy exists the application was ordered filed.
John !~,i. Costa a?plied for a refftud,of ~:Z0.4Z of taxes on his lot 25, block 96, map of
South San Francisco. Reftmd granted.
Fire Ohie£ Costa reported the old city fire hose teste~., at £an ~,iateo did not withstand
any pun:ping pressure and suggested ne::-e~O~,~0~0ofeet be c~ed. Trustees Lloyd arid the chief
were instructed to look into the mat._t. a~.o~ing t-~e ~5~ e. '
Gagliani & Laz~ari submitted llans and specification~ for a concrete building to be
erected on lot 23, block 117, as ~., store, at t.n estimated cost of .; and asked fOr a
building permit for the same. Permit granted.
On behalf of the Italian ~,~merica:n Citizen's Club ~larehal Be]loni asked the board's
permission to use the city hall /.~rounds below
their celebration on July 2,S,and 4th,next. Permis~:im~ granted.

abate the nuisance by having the weeds referred to removed from the city streets.
