REGULAR ~fi~ETIi;G OF THE CiTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO,HELD TUESDAY, SEPT~,~BER 6TH,1927.
The regular meeting .of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held in !.he
City Hall Tuesday evening, September 6th,19£7.
The meeting was called to order at ?;Z0 o'clomk p.m. by Councilman A.J.Eschelbach, Mayor
of South San Francisco.
ROLZ CALL.
Roll call £ound all members of the Cozmcil ~re~ent, to-wit;-
Councilmen A.Hynding, R.Lloyd, ~[.Einuccia~i R.Tibbetts and A.J.Eschelbach.
The minutes of the previous meeting, were re~d. There being no errors or omissions Councilman
Lloyd moved they be adopted cs ~ead. The motion was seconded by Councilman H~ding and regularly
carried.
A communication ~as received £rom S.W.Calloway, ~28 Pine Street, asking for permission to hol
hold a dance in Fraternal Hall Saturday evening October 15th,192? until2 a.m Laid over ~util the
next meeting.
Request was made by the Derby Club for permission to h. lda dance in Fraternal Hall,Saturday
evening, September E~th ~ 1927, the same to continue until I A.L[. Permission granted.
City Treasurer Eauf~mann submitted a statement showing balances in several s~reet series
funds, and asked that the amotmts be transferre~t to the general fund, ~he seri~s having expired.
City Attorney Coleberd will draw up a resolution making the transfer.
The reports of the Chief of $olice, Building Inspector and Fire Chief for the month ending
Aagust Zlst,1927 were read and accepted.

Street assessment work, ~tating the proi~erty would be sold for delinquencies. ~e was instructed to

Councii'man Hynding ~rou~ht the council's attention to ~,he matter of piping the civic center
with water pipes and placinu w~lks throughou~ the grounds before the winter rain~' set in.
A baseball committee from bhe Derby Club, consisting of Delegates Eingue, Fischer and ~urray
appeared before the board and requested assistance in holding a barbecue at She baseball grounds
ne~t S~mday, at which time they expecte~i a large gathering to hel]~ clear willows etc for the im~:rovemen
of the grounds. Theystated their ba~:eball ~eam will be iznown as the ~outh San Francisco Baseball
Club· Assistance ~a.s promise~,and '[hey were instr:zcted to confer with Co~m:cilman Tibbetts,chairman
of the baseball grounds committee !or £u:'ther in£ormation.

The claims having been audited by the finance co~mittee Councilman Hynding moved they be
paid., The motion was seconded by Oouncilman Tibbetts and regularly carried.
~here bein~ no £urther business on hand Com~ci,lman Lloyd moved to adjourn until Wednesday
evening, September 7th,1927, at 8; 0' Clock 7:.m.. The motim~ wa~ seconded by Councilman Minucciani
and regularly carried.
