A regularly adjourned meeting of the ~ity Oo~cil of the City of South San Francisco was
held in the City Hall Monday evening, September l£th,19E?.
Tke meeting was called to order at ~;gO o'clock p.m. by Councilman A.J.Eschelbach, ~ayor
of South ~San Francisco.
ROLL CALL.
Rol% call found the following members of the council present, to-wit;-
Councilmen Hynding, Einucciani, Lloyd, Eschelbach.
Absent, Councilman Tibbetts,
The minutes, o£ the previous meeting were read. There being no errors or omissions Councilman
Lloyd Roved they be ado~ted as read. The motion was seconded by Councilman Hynding and regularly
carried.
A communication was receive~i from a co~ittee on celebration of the Independence of
Mexico asking for permission to hol~ a dance and literary exercises in F~aternal Hall on Saturday
evening, September l?th,1927, from the hours of 8 o'clock p.m. to two o'clock a.m. Permission granted.
Permission to ~eddle pies on a free license was requested by an ex-soldier, D.Suliotis.
Granted on condition he presents his discharge papers to the Chief of Police or City Clerk.
Secretary Ray ,~_gler of the Chamber of Commerce reported he expected the dedication of
the under~ass opening would be set fo~ Thursday, September l§th,19g?. Accordingly Mayor Eschelbach
~ppointed the following committee to work on a celebration and parade for the occasion;-
A.Hynding, R.LRoyd, Ray Spang]er, H.Haaker, B.J.Rodondi, B.H. Truax, and Dave Ratto.
The garbage committee reported having been very busy and had no time to look up a site.
Same committe was instructed to look up a suitable location for the new fire house.
The question of through service over the Earket Street Railway Company's tracks to and from
South San Francisco was taken up for discussion. 0ity attorney Coleberd was instructed to communicate
wi~h the ~ompany ~with regard to the £easibi]ity of such service and report at a future meeting.
, The £ol]owing claims against the city were next presented for payment;-
League of Calif ~unicipslities, dues to ~ay 19~8

The claims having been audited by the finance committem Councilman
The motion was seconded by Councilman Minucciani and regularly car~'ied.
There being no further business Councilman Lloyd moved to adjourn until Monday evening,
September 19th,1927, at ?;30 o'clock p.m. The motion was seconded by Covmcilman Liinucciani and
regularly carried.
Time of adjournment 9;~5 o'clock p.m.
Lloyd moved they be paid.
