SAN £P~iNCISCO, HELD MONDAY, JUNE 18TH,1928.
The regular meeting of the city council of the City off H, OUL:.h San Francisco was held in the
City Hall Monday evening, June 18th,1928.
The meeting was called to order ~t 7;30 o'clock p.m. by councilman A.J.Eschelbach, Mayor of
South San Francisco.
ROLL C~LL.
Roll call found all members of the council present, to-wit;-
Councilmen, A.itynding, R.Lloyd, M.I'~iin~cciani, R.Tibbetts, ~.J.Eschelbach.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read. There being no errors or omissions councilm~n

A co~:Jnunication was received from l~ilton Hyman, Nilwaukee, Wisconsin, offering free garbage
receptacles to tz~e city, 21x21 and 47~ inches high, for the privilege of selling four advertising sign.(
per receptacle . f~eferred to the police commie';sion.
Permission was asked by the Pacific Gas & Electric Company to set poles as described on attac2
drawing #1512-R, to supply Raugi ranch with power and lights. Referred to Chairman Tibbetts for
inve stigati on.
A petition signed by 10? taxpayers and residents of Peck's lots and vicinity was submitted
requ*sting the Cit:: Council to take steps to open up an extension of Randolph Avenue Avenue through
Peck!s Lots westerly and southerly to connect with Armour and 1~iaple Avenues, for the benefit of scho~
children and pedestrians of the neighborhood. Zeferred to t_,e City Attorney ~nd City Engineer for lega:
advice, while. I,iayor Eschelbach stated the city council would meet with the school board of trustees an¢
a committee of citizens fro~u Peck's lots at the Land Company's office on any day designated by the
co~:~ittee from the district affected.
The report of Health Officer Doa~ was' submitted to the council and accepted.
The resignation of Warren Emerick as truck driver in the fire department was received and acc~
an~ a vote of thanks was tend,:~red him for his services. Albert Beltrami was appointed to fill the posit
temporarily. RESOLUTION OF INTENTION N0.61.
Councilman Minucciani introduced a resolution of intention to vacate a portion of Orange Avez
in the vicinity of Miller Avenue. The resolution was ado~;~ted by the unanimous vote of all the members
the City Council, to-wit;-
Ayes, Councilmen, A.Hynding, R.Lloyd, M.Minucciani, R.Tibbetts, A.J.Eschelbach.
Noes, Councilmen, None.
Absent, Councilmen, None,

~yor Eschelbach stated that tdr. ~;'illia:,,~.s of the Bulletin Had requested the privilege of
advertising Sout:~ San Francisco in his paper. Matter was taken under advisement.
The clerk was requested to co~_unic~.:.te wi'th all lot owners on Grand ~venue from Division Stre~
to ~aple Avenue and ,. sk them to take ste?~s to construct sidewalks in front of their pro~:erty from the
lot line to the curb, where not now placed. Eight applicatio, s for p~ool room licenses & ~6 for soft dr~
EeiPol. Comm. ~ayor Eschelbach stated ~rs 'i¥interh~lter may name a committee to confer with the city council
at ~:ome future meeting in the matter of considering the constructio~ of a civic auditorium, swimming p(
and ?layground as proposed in her y, etition of June 4th last.
Councilman Hynding stated much damage was done to buildings, windows, etc, by mischievous child]
and othere around town, and asked that more police protection be given, fieferred to the i?olice commiss~
Clerk McSweeney ~:~sked for an additional Underwood typewriter for the office on account of
increasing business. [~equest granted and Councilman iiynding instructed to procure one.

The motion was seconded by Councilman Lloyd ~nd regularly carried.
There being no fu=ther business before the meeting Councilman Lloyd moved to ~djourn until
