REGULA~MEETING 0~ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
SOUTH SAN ~P~CISC0, tEELD NONDAY,AUGUST
20TN~1928.
The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was held in the
City Hall Nonday e~entng, August 20th,19£8.
The meeting was called to order at ?;5% o'clock p.m. by councilman A.J.Eschelbach, Mayor
of South San Francisco.

ROLL CALL.
Roll call found all members of the cit~ council presenZ, to-wit;-
Councilmen, A.Hynding, R.Lloyd, M.Minuccte. ni, H.Tibbetts, A.J.Eschelbach.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read. There being no errors or omissions Councilma
Tibbetts moved they be adopted as read. The motion was seconded by Oouncilmsn Minucctani and regula
carried.
A request was made in writing by ~.Perenti,southwest corner of Orange & Baden Avenues, to h
the city rerair the sidewalk in front of his residence , which was broken by the truck of Larson Brot
some months ago. Referred to the s~reet committee with full ~ower to 8ct.
Officer Floyd Menzie of the police der~rtment submitted a request for a lea~e of absence
for a period of six months, comm. encing September lst,1928. Referred to the Police Commission.
A~plications for the position of Police Officer were received from W.C.Whipple, Charles A.
Robinson% Paul Perusstm~. Referred to the police co, mission.
The report of City Treasurer Edward P.Kauffmann~for the month of July was submitted to the
council and accepted es read.
In connection with the granting of twenty feet of Industrial Way on the east side $o the
Pacific Coast Steel Company for spur track space Councilman Minucciani introduced a Resolution of
Intention , No.62 , granting and vacating a po~tion of Industrial Way in the City of South San Franc
The resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the council, to-wit,-
Ayes, Councilmen, A. Hyndlng, R.Llosd, M.Minucclant, A.J.Eschelb~ch. R.Tibbetts.
Noes, None. Absent, Eons.

The City Clerk was instructed to, the Pacific Coast Building Officials Conference at Long
Beach and order three copies of the edition of 19£? of the 5niform Building Code.
The clerk was instructed ~o send the bill for damages to an electrolier to the California
State~ Automobile Association.
Fire Chief Costa was appointed a delegate to the Pacific Coast Fire Chief's con~ention
at Sacramento, October first to the sixth
The committe on the proposition of re%zoning announced the~ were ready to report. Attorne
'fohn F.Davis, representing the petitioners, had asked the committee to postpone action in the matter
until another meeting. Hequest granted.

The motion was seconded by councilman Ttbbetts and regularly carried.
There being no further business before the council adjournment was taken on motion, by
conncilman Hynding, seconded by councilman Lloyd and regularly carried.
