The regular meeting of the Cits' Conncil of the Clt~ o? South San Francisco was held ~n t~e Cit.~
Hall ~'~onday e~ening OctOber 7th,l~29.
The meeting w~s called to order at ?~Jo oClock~ p. m. b~ Councilman A.J. Esohelb~ch, Ma2o~~ of
South ~an Francisco. ~eetings
The minutes of the previous'~ere read. There being no errors or omisslonm~Councilman Tibbetts
moved they be a*opted as read. The motion was se conded by Councilm~n Hsnding and regularly carried.
~he Pacific Gas & Electric ~Jompan2 m~de application fo~~ permission to i~stall ~a six inch
from t~ 2~ inch gas main of the natural g~s line. ~ermit gr~nted.
A number of citizens,~and resideuSs ~,t!t~oned the Oitj Council for several lights to be ~lace~
on Bad~m Avenue Alley between Miller ~ Sprmce~f~enmes. Eeferred to Councilman Tibbetts.
The ~etzger P~cking Company a~+lied for ~ermission to ~nstall a g~sol~ne t~nk ~nd pump at their
place of business. Permission grsnte~d.
~r. A.Chiline requested to extend the ~all of his building, Bll San Bruno head ~B feet south
on an adjo~ng lot ~nd to extend the rear ~o his ~roperty lin~ on Cypress Avenue, to provide sp~ce for
two additional pu~ps. He was requested to furnish blue '~rints and specifications of the propose~ improve~
m~nt.
~r. L.H.bhelenberg, Secret~ry of the South San Francisco Chamber of Co~.erce ~de request
for permission to hold a dance and carnival on the evening of October the l~th during the hours from
ll p.m. Permission granted.

submitted to his office for filin~ ~n accoun~ of a change b~ tLe recez~t le~isl~ture, i~eferred to Cit~~
Attorney Coleber~.
The Burlinga~e Flower and Oarde~ Cl'~b requested co-operation by asking the Can ~steo County
Board of Super~isors ~nd other go~erning bodies to ~ssist in citric ~fsirs and requested that the
Chrys~hem~m be me~.~ the offlcia~ flower of S~n Mateo Co unt~~. ~eferred to The C it:~ Attorney.
~-enr~~ Ba~er filed a protest ~gsinst the remo~el of ~he Armour Hotel to' lot No. ~0 on the
San Bruno ~oad. Communication ord~red filed for future referrence.
A ~etition was received from ~.Giuste~ei, ~lots 1, J,8 ~nd ~, Town ~of B~den requesting term
ission to build ~ gasoline station. Heferred to t~e f~re chief.
John Colombo w~s refused rermission to construct ~ buildin~ on the rear of ~_is lot on Crsnd
Avenue, st 2Al~ and requested ~ tear down wh~t he hs~ already constructed.

The Fraternal Hall Association asked permission to enlarge the banquet hall by the expen~
diture off $500.00 .Permit-sion gr~nted.

On motion by councilman Tibbetts ~econded b5 Co~ncilman Lloyd the sum of~an~,~ w~s voted
for cit~ flags for decoration purposes.
