SOUTH SAN FP~&NCISC0, HELD MONDAY, JANUARY 27, 1930.
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco was held in the city hall, Monday evening, January 27, 1930.
This meeting was called to order at 7:30 o'clock p. m. by Councilman A. J.
Eschetbach, Mayor of South San Francisco.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found all members of the council present, to-wit:
Councilmen A. Hynding,~ R. Lloyd, M. Minucciani, R. Tibbetts, A. J. Eschelbaoh.
The minutes of the two previous meetings were read. There being no errors or
omissions Councilman Lloyd moved they be adopted as read. The motion was seconded by
councilman Minucciani and regularly carried.
Application for positions on the election board next April were received from
Mrs. Isabell Brawn and Mrs. Alice Young. Applications ordered placed on file.
A communication was received from County Auditor E, M. Stack, and a check in
sum of $20.33 covering the apportionment of taxes collected from the assessments on
securities and solvent credits for the fiscal year 1929-1930. Accepted and credited to
the city's general fund.
The Italian-American Athletic Club petitioned the council for a donation to de-
fray part of the training expenses of Boxer Young Corbett III, on account of the publicity
his training here will advertise South San Francisco. After discussion the matter was
laid over till another meeting.
E. C. Peck made application for a refund of approximately $30.00 on account of
alledged misassessment. Referred to the city assessor for investigation.
ORDINANCE No. 153.
An ordinance entitled "An ORDINANCE CALLING A SPECIA~ ELECTION FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF LAIRD ~0R THREE PARE~, TEE IMPROVE-
MENT 0~ ORANGE AVENUE AND THE CONSTRUCTION 0~ A
SWI~R¥IING POOL", ETC.,
was introduced by councilman Minucciani, had its first reading and was liad over to come
up under the regular order of business at the next regular meeting of the city council.
Claims in the amount of $1087.17 were next presented to the council for payment.
The ~finance committee having audited the bills councilman Lloyd moved they be Raid. The
motion was seconded by Councilman Tibbetts and regularly c~rried.

There being no further business councilman Minucciani moved to adjourn until the
next regular meeting, Monday, February 3, 1930, at ?:30 o'clock p.m. The
motion was seconded by councilman Hynding and regularly carried.
