The regular meeting of the City Council of the City.,of South San Francisco was
held in the City Hall,~,,?onday evening,February lst,1932.
The meeting, was called to order at 7;30 o'clock P.E. by L~ayor Joseph P.Quinlan.
ROLL CALL'.

The minutes of the two previous meetings were read. There being no errors or
omississions they were approve& as read .
The Pacific Gas & Electric OO~lpany refunded the sum. $1?.10 collected for ligh~s
out on the Bayshore Highway. Accepted.
A communicatio~ was received from tLe Stand~rd 0il Compamy, through':Superintenier~
J.Canoveri, requestin~i Permission to install a 1000 gallon gasoline underground storage tan~ ~.
at their service station on the northwest corner of L[iller Avenue and the San Bruno Road.
The company was allowed to continue excavating but refused permissior~ to install gasol:~ ~?~!
the ten days required by law had expired, and Fire Chief Welte r~as instructed to look afte~th~
mat t er.
C.E.Stahl applied for a position on the election boated in the April general election.
Application ordere~ placed on file.
The monthly reports of Inspector Beatty and Fire Chief Welte wwere read and accepted.
Action o~',~ Iordinance No 158 was deferred until a later meeti, ng,after the second
reading. On motion :;o~ councilm~n Lloyd seconded by councilman Tibbetts and regularly carrie~
a new light was ordered in Hawthorne Lane.
The following claims against the city were next, presented for payment;-
