COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0F SOUTH SAN FRANCTSC0,HELD
MONDAY, 0CTOB~ 29t~,
1934.
A regularly adjourned meeting of t?~e city council of the City of South San Francis
was held in the city hall Monda~ evening, October 29th,1934.
This meeting was called to order at 7;30 o'clock p.m. by 5!a~or ReeSe Lloyd.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found all members of the city council present, as follows,
Councilmen, V.Boido, R.LLoyd, M.Minucciani,R.Tibbetts,Jos. P.Cuinlan.

A communication was received from the City of San Bruno stating the~. were having
trouble with the sewer in Tanforau Avenue,and requested the council to instrust the city
attorney,Mr. Coleberd,to confer with the San Bruno City Attorney,Mr. Rapsey , with a view to
having the sewer opened. City Attorney Coleber~ stated he~% been in consultation with San
Bruno's attorney,and they had agreed to take the matter up~ecision soon. ~ayor Lloyd
instrncted the city clerk to answer the conm~unication stating our city attorney will co-operate
with Man Bruno's attorney and report back to this city council. Hall
An appDication for a permit to held a dance in Fraternal'Saturday evening, Novembe
10th, 1934, was received from the Italian Catholic Federation,Branch No.7, of South San Franci
and the desired permission granted. Five dollars for additional police protection accompanied t
application.
Mfs. William S.Sampson applied for a business license to run a restaurant in the Wester
Pipe & Steel Plant. License granted.
Notice was received from the State Compensation Insurance Fund to the effect that
the city's insurance would be due on November 19,19~4. Places on file.
A petition was received from 28 residents and property owners in the Town of Baden,
requesting the city to clean the gutters,repair the streets and place a light in the middle of
"A" Street, in that tract. The matter was referred to Councilman Tibbetts.
In the matter of accumulating data and material dealing with the production and
consum~ption of electric current in the City of South San Francisco, some of which has already
been gathered, Councilman Tibbetts introduced a resolution of the City of South San Francisco
employing George B.Scheer for the sum of $250 for his expenses in connection with the work,on
the completion and filing of his engineering report to the city council of the City of
~outh San Francisco. The resolution was adopted by the votes of all the n~embers of the City
council, to-wit;-
Ayes, Councilmen, V.Boido,R.Lloyd, M.Minucciani,R.Tibbetts, Jos. P.Quinlan.
Noes, Councilmen,None.
Absent, Councilmen,None.

City attorney Coleberd inf~rm~d the council he had not yet received a copy of the
bond of the Massachusetts Bonding company, the company bonding PioH~bo Bros.& Co~pan~~.in their
proposed operations in Peck's Subdivision. Chief of Police Belloni was instructed to prevent
the oiombo Bros Company from doing any blasting until the city, attorney approves the bond.
Engineer Xlassen ha~ no report on the proposition to place sidewalks on the west ~
side of Linden Avenue ~outh,~to Tanforan Avenue.
Guiseppe Rozzi appeared before the council and stated the sLench from fermenting
K~,~anure at the mushroom plant near his residence was ~asues and a n~enace to the people of the
vicinity of the plamt~,an~ requested the city council to take measures to abate the nuisance.
;~ayor Lloyd stated he would place the matter ir~ the hands of the board of Health.
Claims in the amount of ~41.1§ were next presented to the council for payment;-
George N.l~essier, closing del tax roll and control ~41.1~.
The claim having been audited by the finance committee councilman ~in~cciani moved
the same bo paid. The motion was seconded by councilman Tibbetts and regularly carried.
There being no furthest business councilman 51inucciani moved to adjourn until
Nonday evening, November 5th ,1934 ,at 7.~o'clock p.m. The mQtion was seconded by councilman
Tibbetts ahd regularly carried.
