A regularly adjourned meeting of the city council of the City of South San
Francisco was held in the city hall,Wednesday evening, August ?th,19~§~
This meeting was called to order at 8 o'clock p.m. by Mayor Reese Lloyd.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found all members of the council present,as follows;-
Councilmen, V.Boido, J.F.Mager,~I.Minucciani,H.Lloyd,R.Tibbetts.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read. There being no errors or omissions,
Councilman Minucciani moved they be adopted as read. The motion was seconded by Councilman
Tibbetts and regularly carried.
A communication was received from the Duro Test of New York, stating 10% may still
be deducted as discount from their invoice if a check for the balance be forwarded by return ms
The matter was referred to Councilman Tibbetts.
A communication was received from the E.H.Edwards Company requesting the city's and
City Engineer's approval o£ certain improvements they wished to make on Butler road and Indus-
trial Way, on city property, the imp~ovements contem~lated being a woeden curb and certain pavi
on Butler Road and Industrial Way. The city council bein~ agreeable to the approval as the
wire company proposed to do the work ~t their own expense,Councilman i~inucciani moved the

desired permission be granted. The motion was seconded by Councilman Tibbetts and regularly
carried.
RESOLUTION CHANGING NAI~ OF SWIFT AVENUE
TO EAST GRAND AVENUE.
Councilman Minucciani introduced a resolution of the City of South San Francisco
changing the name of ~'$wift Avenue" to"East Grand Aven~". The resolution was adopted by the
votes of all the members o£ the city council,as follows~-
Ayes, Councilmen, V.Boido, J.F.M~ger, M.Minucciani, R.Lloyd, R.Ti~betts.
Noes, Councilmen,None,

Councilman Tibbetts introduce~ a resolution of the City .~o~ncil of ~he City of Scut
San Francisco authorizing the ~.vor and city Clerk of the City of South San ~rancisco to enter
into and execute an agreement ~.~ ~ between the Southern Pacific Railroad Company,a corporation,
and Southern Pacific Company, a corporation, as grantors,and the City of South San Francisco as
Grantee~ in the matter ~f an easement for the construction , maintenance and operation o£ a
drainage canal and appurtenances,across and benes, th the property and tracks of the ~rantors.
The resolution was adopted ~y the votes of all the members cT th~ city council,as

BADEN ~ D~INAGE PROJECT.
Councilman ~inucciani introduced a resolution of the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco calling ~or bids in connection with work_to_he, done straightening and
confining a portion of Colma Creek and Baden Creek in this c~J ~T~ resolution was adopted
by the votes of all the members o£ the city council, to-Wit;-

RESOLUTION I~ILDING SIDEWALK ORANGE AVENUE.
Councilman Minucciani introduced a resolut~ion of the City of .South ~an Francisco
to provide and make ~vai~b~e the su~ of ~ix H~dred and Eighty-five ~!i68~.00~ Dollars for ~rad
and construction of a sidewalk on Orange Avenue, and that the City Clerk be, and he is authoriz
to sign the soonsoring certificate to the pro~osal to be made to the WOrks Progress ~dministrat
for the work. The resolution was adopted by the votes of all the members of the city Gouncil,

Claims in the amount of $292.60 were next presented to the city council for
payment.

The claims having been audited by the finance committee Councilman
Boido moved they be paid. The motion was seconded by Councilman ~inucciani
and regularly carried.
The matter of the proposed application to the Federal government for financial
ai~ in the further construction and sxtension of Colma and Baden Creeks was laid
over for consideration.
There being no further business before the board,councilman ~inucciani moved
to adjourn until Monday evening, August 12th,19O~,at 8 o'clock p.m. The motion was
seconded by Conncilman Tibbetts and regularly carried,
