COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO ,HELD ~iONDAY,A~GU~T

A regularly adjourned meeting of the city council of the City of South San Francis~
was held in the city hall, l~onday evening, ~ugust lEth,19~.
This meeting was called to order at 8 o'clock p.m. by Eayor Resse Lloyd.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found all members of the council present,as follows;-
Councilmen, V.Boido, J.F.~.~ger, l~.~inucci~ni,R.LXoyd,R.Tibbetts.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read. There being no errors or omissions
councilman Tibbetts moved they be adopted ss read. The motion was seconded by councilman
Ninucci~ni and regularly c~rried.
~ ~Anli~vitation was received from the Library Board to attend the next session,
September J,19~8,at seven o'clock o.m. The invitati~.n was accepted,but ~yor Lloyd stated he
would be on vacation and unab2e to attend, and requested the other members of the council to
attend if possible.
A communication was received from John Tacchi, inviting the City Council to attend
the Grand opening of the South San Francisco Athletic Club at Fraternal Hall Thursday evening
August l~th.19~ at 8;ZO o'clock p.m. The communication was accepted and the clerk instructed
to acknowledge the receipt of the invitation.
Wight & Nerner,representing the Ace Bedding Company, applied for a business licens,
at lB Chapman Avenue. On motion by Councilman Boido,seconded by Councilman Minucciani and ret
larly carried the permit was granted. ~
A communication was received from the Southern Pacific Company in reoly to the cit~
request for 7~ermission to install a Z6~' culvert pipe ~eneath their right of way and tracks,
stating they ~ere enclosing duolicate counterparts of agreement covering the installation,
Co~mnunicati.~n accepted, and filed.
ORDINANCE NO
An ordinance regulating the distribution of advertising matter in the City of
South San FranciSco and repaaling Ordinance No.l~8 of this city, was introduced by councilman
l~inucciani,had its first reading and was laid over to come up under the regular order of busi~
at the next regular meeting of the city co~ncil.
A RESOLUTION ~UTHORIZ~NG EXECUTION
OF LICENSE AGREEI~NT V~ITH SOOTHLRN waa introduced by councilr~
Boido. The resolution was adopted by the votes of ~ll the members of the City Council,to-wit;.
Ayes, Councilmen,V,Boido,~.F.~ger, ~1.~inucci~ni,R.Lloyd, R.Tibbetts.
Noes, Councilmen,None. Absent, Councilmen None. Attest Daniel ~c~weeney,
City Clerk.

A recess of fifteen minutes was declared by ;Z~yor Lloyd at 8.12 o'clock,p.m.
On ~eassenbling at 8;27 o'clock p.m. the following named councilmen ~nswered th~
Councilmen,V.Boido, J.£.~ager, M.Minucci~ni,R.Lloyd,R.Tibbetts.
Absent Councilmen, None.
Under the head of unfinished business City Attorney Coleberd stated the proposed
ordinances not yet ready.
Under the head of new business Fred J.Lautze appeared before the council and
protested against the valuation of his propertY on San Bruno Road as being too high, and aske~
for a reduction. I~ayor Lloyd stated that the Board of Equalization had met in the morning
to consider protests, revaluations,etc, and there bein~ no protests, from him, the Board clos~
the roll for the year 19~,Z6, and nothin~ could now be done.
There being no further business Councilman Tibbetts moved to adjourn until the n~
regular meeting, ~onday,Augus~ 19th,19~,at 8 o'clock p.m. The motion was second, ed by council~
Boido and regularly carried.
