HELD TU~ESDAY, SEPTE~[BER 10TH,19SS.
The Regular meeting of the city ~ouncil of the City of South San
Francisco was held in the city hall,Tuesday evening, September 10th,19ZS.
In the absence of l~yor Reese Lloyd,councilman Hinucciani moved that
councilman I~ger be selected l~yor ~ro tem. The motion was seconded by councilman Tibbetts
and regularly carried.
Councilman~ager thereupon took the chair and called the meeting to
order at 8 o'clock p.m.
Roll Call.
Roll call found the following members of the city council present;-
Councilmen, V.Boido,J.F.~ager, E.~in~cciani,R.Tibbetts.
Absent, Councilman Reese Lloyd.
The minutes of the nrevious meeting were read. There being no errors or omissions
councilman ~inucciani moved they be approved as read. The motion was seconded by councilman
Tibbetts and regularly carried.
An application for a business license to o?erate a small boarding house at 16
Tanforan Avenue was received from J.l~aud Williams. On motion by councilman Minucciani,secohded
by councilman Boido and regularly carried, the license was granted.
The South San Fra~misco Scavenger Company submitted a request for permission to
sink a ~75 gallon gasoline tank on land adjoining the Stickle plant on the west side of South
Linden Avenu~ for the compamy's use only. Referred to ~ire Chief ~elts. A communication was
received fromThe l~nufacturers Association of Sout~ San Francisco, expressing thief gratitude
to the council for their action in cutting down the city tax rate to $1.25, and stated the
association passed a resolution of appreciation to the council. On motion by councilman
~inucciani,seconded by councilm~u Tibbetts the communication was accepted and filed.
An aoplication was received from ~he Societa 0peraia Mutuo Soccorso of South
San Francisco for~ermit to hold a dance and concert Saturday evening,September Elst,19Z5,unti~
2 o'clock A.M.,Adm~ission free. On motion by councilman Boido,seconded by councilwoman
Minucciani,and regularly carried, the desired permit was granted.
An application for a permit to engage in the distribution of the San Francisco
Shopping news and occasional extra Shopping News store announcements in this city was
received from the San Francisco Shopping News. On motion by councilman Minuccisni,seconded
by councilman Tibbetts and regularly carried the desired permit was granted.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZIN~
E~ECUTION OF CERTIFICATE.
Councilman Tibbetts introduced a resolution of the City of South San Francisco
authorizing the City Clerk to execute a certificate to the Works Progress Administration
to the effect that the contribution specified in the proposal to be made for constructiong
an 18" sanitary sewer across Linden Avenue will be available for the prosecution of the proje~
The resolution was ~.dopted by the votes of all the members of the city council
present,to-wit;-

The claims having been audited by the finance committee councilman Boido moved
they be paid. The motion was seconded by councilman T~bbett~ and regularly carried,
~,~yor pro tem l~ger announced that the city Councithad consented to exhibit the
city best fire engine at Bay Meadows.
There being no further business before the board councilman Tibbetts moved to adjo'
until the next regular meeting,Lionday evening, September 16th,193~,at 8 o'clock p.m. The
motion was seconded by councilman ~inucciani and reEularly carried.
