~/'CALL AND WAIVER OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
OF Thee CITY COUNCIL OF T~E CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,
J~TE 4th, 1937.
Pursuant to call and waiver of notice of special meeting of the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco,of which the following is a copy;-
We,the undersigned members of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
hereby call a special meeting of said City Council to be held on the 4th day of June,193?,
at the hour of 9;00 o'clock A.M., in the council chamber in the City Hall of said city, for
the purpose of considering and actin~ upon an application for a permit to conduct a carnival
in said City of South San Francisco; and we hereby waive notice of said meetin~ and consent
to the transaction thereat of any and all business which may re[~ularly come before said ~ ~.-~
meeting.

the City Council of the City of South San Francisco assembled in special session in
the Council Chamber of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco in the City Hall,
Saturday, June 4th, 1937.
This meeting was called to order at 9;15 o'clock A.M. by Mayor D.W.Ratto.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found the following members of the City Council present,as follows;-
Councilmen, V~;Boido,
A.J.Eschelbach,
D.W.Ratto.
Absent, Councilmen, ~.Minucctani,
J.F.~ager.
The reading of the minutes of the previous meetings wTs dispensed with.
A communication was received from Thomas E.Hickey Post N0.2660, Veterans of Foreign
Wars of United States,through the Chairman of the Finance Committee,Frederick W.Brown, on
behalf of "Golden Gate Shows", requesting permission to operatea carnival in this city from
Saturday, June 4th,193~ to June 13,1937,incl. C0~ncilman Eschelbach moved the permit be
granted on condition all ordinances and regulation~ be lived up to. The motion was seconded
by Councilman Boido and reg larly carried.
The Golden Gate Shows representative ~L~Mr~Bake¥~Submitted~a~,recommendation from the
Polk Street Merchants Association stating they had done business with the Golden Gate Shows
and had found them very satisfactory in every way. Mt. Baker also filed a public ~iabtlity
Cs~tificate of Insurance in the amount of $5000 and $10,000~ good in CalifQrnia, 0re~on,
Washington.and Nevada. Accepted. ~
There being no further business before the boar~ Councilm~R Boido moved to adjourn.
The motion was seconded by Councilman Eschelbach and regularly carried.
