QITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY Of SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,HELD,
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10,1938.
A regularly adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francloco,
held Wednesday, August 10,1938.
This meeting was called to order at 8 o'clock,P.M, by Mayor A.J.Eschelbach.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found all members of the council present, as follows;-
Councilmen, V.Boido, A.J.Eschelb a ch, M.Minucciani, D.W. RATT0.Rod Tibbetts.
The reading of the minutes of th e two previous meetings was suspended.
A bid was received from the Price Furniture Company offering to place linoleum upon I
the clerk's office floor for the sum of $187.50, in any ~?~ colors. Councilman Ratto suggested
there was other linoleum of a more serviceable quality&character than battleship linoleum .
The matter was referred to Councilman Ti bbttts for investigation.
A.J.Pacheco submitted a bid to change lighting system in the Council Chambers ~ and
the City Clerk's office~ amounting to $160.00. Referred to Councilman Tibbetts for
investigation.
669-RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
APPLIC ATION FOR AID IN THE
CONSTRUCTION OF CENTRAL FIRE
STATION.
Councilman Boido introduced a resolution of the City Co'~ncil of the City of South San
Francisco authorizing the Mayor to file an application to the United States of America
through the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works for a grant to aid in financing
the construction of a central fire stat ion. The resolution was adopted by the votes of all
the members of the ~ity Council,as follows;-
Ayes, Council~en, V.Boido, A.J.Eschelbach, M.Minucciani,D.W.Ratto,Rod Tibbetts.
Noes, Counci~zen, None.
Absent, Councilmen,None. Attest Daniel McSweeney

BOND ELECTION FOR FIRE STATION.
~ Councilman Minucciani introduced a~tio a resolution of the~ City Council of the Cit~
of South San Francisco to sebregate and set apart out of the general-fund the s~m of $150~
for the purposes of preliminary expenses incident to the calling of a special election
to vote on the proposed fire house bonds. The resolution was adopted by t~e votes of all
the members of the City Council,as follows;-

The date set for receiving bids,August 22,5~,at 8.p.m. Cfty Clerk~
Assigtant City Engineer Klassen submitted plans of a proposed hand ball court,
Horse shoe pit,Volley Ball Court and Soccor Field to the council for their inspection.
~'he council will investigate the pro~ositions ~nd report on the matter later.
There~ being no further business,~b$ ~ b~fore the council, Councilman Minucbiani
moved to adjourn until Monday,August 18 ~h,19~8, at eight o'clock P.M. The~mobion was
seconded by Councilman Ratto and regularl~ carried.
