OF 1HE CItY OF SOUTL SAN FRANCISCO WAS
HELD ~]EDNESDAY,AUGUST 1V,1938.
A regularly adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
was held in the City }:all, Wednesday evening, August 17th,1938.
This meeting was called to order at 8 o'clck p.m. by Eayor A.J.Eschelbach.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found all the members of the council present;as follows;-
Councilmen, V.Boido, A.J.Eschelbach, M.Ninucciani,D.W.Ratto, Rod Tibbetts.
The reading of ti,e minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with.
On the proposed new bond election for the community center b'. ildings,. Swimming pool
and central fire station, City attorne~ Coleberd explained that resolutions pertaing to them
should be adopted in advance of the ordinance,on account of the bonding companies requiring
t~at ever~f detail affecting the proceedings must be in legal form to assure t he buyers there
could be no flaw. Mr. Rowe , architect for the new proposed fire station was in attendance.
The city attorney asked him if he was satisfied that his plans and specifications are in order
and his alplication correctly written. ?Lr. Rowe said yes, he was satisfied all the proceedin~'s
Be had handled are in. good shape. Asked by the city attorney if the present plan~, specifications
and a;:~plication would be acceptible and could be used in case the government reduced the amount
applied for and the city had to reduce the2ze of the buildings,etc. ~r. Rowe said yes, they

Councilman Ninucciani then introduced a resolution "A",,of the City Council ~f th~
City of South San Francisco adopting plans aus specifications for recreation center buildings
including a swimming tank, al~purtenances and equipment, for the city of South San Francisco,
submitted by architect. ~odge A.Reidy, the a~hitect employed by the city. The resolution was
adopted by the votes of all the members of the City Council,sas follows;-
Ayes, Councilmen, V,Boido, A,O,Eschelbach, N.Minucciani,D.W.Ratto,Rod Tibbetts.
Noes, Councilmen,None.

Councilman Boido introduced a resolution,of the City Council of the Cit~- of South San
Francisco adoptin~ plans and specifications for a Centrel Fire Stat-~.on in the City of South
San Francisco,submitted by Architect William ~enry Rowe, the architect employed by the city.
and the specifications for furnishings and equipment for said station and the specifications
for a combination pumping engine and hose wagon and an aerial ladder truck with 65 foot
ladder. The resolution was adopted by the votes of all the members of the Cit~' Council,ss
follows,;

Noes, Councilmen,None.

of South San Francisco providing for holding a special municipal election in the Cit~ of
South San Francisco on September o, Otk,1938 . or the ourpose of submitting to the electors
proposf~tion to bond the city to build a swimming. ~ank, and. recreation center buildings,
appurtenances thereto,a central fire station, furnishings ant' equipment for same, and
a combination pumping engine, and h~se wago n, and an set-;al ladder truck with 65 foot
ladder.
The resolution was adopted by the votes of all tt-e members of tle City Council,
as follows;-

Recorded 'n Book of resolutions, ¥ol.3,st page 188. CLAIMS in the amount of $12.oo
were submitted,and on motion by CounciLman Tibbetts, seconded by Councilman Boido, ordered paid.
There being no further business before the council Councilman libbetts moved to
/adjourn until Thursday evenin~', August 18,1938,at 7;30 o'clock p.m. The motion was seconded
by councilman l~atto and regularl~ carried.
