Pursuant to call and waiver of notice of a special meeting of the City Council of
the City of South San ?rancisco, of which tk.~e following is a copy;-
CALL AND ~,'~AIVER OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL ~;~ETING OF CITY COUNCIL OF CITY 0F SOUTI SAi~ FRANCISC(
The undersigned, being all the members of the city council of the City of South
San Francisco,hereby call a special meeting of said city council to be held in the council
chamber in the City Hall,of said city,on Friday, Ja..~:uary ~6,19~0, at the hour of V;40 P.~.:
to consider and act upon the question of odering an action to be commenced in the name of t
people of the State of California vs A.C.Freeman to abate the nuisance caused by hay,stray
filth and manure accumulated upon the premises,where said A.C.Freeman operates his
slaughtering house in said city, and becoming' deposited on the pavement of said East Grand
Avenue; and we hereby waive notice of said meeting and consent to the transaction thereat
of any and all business which may regularly come before said meeting.

~he city council of the City of South San Francisco met in special session, the ~Sth~
day of January,19~0.
The meeting was called to order at V;~0 o'clock P.~W~. by ~iayor A.J. Eschelbach.
Roll Call.
Roll call found all members of the council present, as follows;-
Councilmen,V.Boido,A.J.Eschelbach,l¥i.~[inucciani,~.W.Hatto,R.Tibbetts.
Mr. A.C.Freeman was not present at the meeting. The city council discussed at
length the advisibility of declaring a nuisance the condition at the United Packing Co's
olant. Engineer Marshal and city attorney foleberd and all members of the city council
agreed that Mr. Freeman did nothing whatever to abate the nuisance at his place. A resolut~
was prepared to commence action a~!ainst the establishment, but after consideration ~t was
that ~r. Freeman should be present at the meeting for his explanation of the bad condition~
allowed to exist in and outside his slaughterhouse. ~ayor Eschelbach tried to get him on
phone aut was Unable to locate him. It was decided to l'ave bim at an adjourned meeting the next
' morning, Saturday,January ~V,at ten o'clock A.~. Councilman Yinucciani moved t~'at the me~
be adjourned to that day and hour. Councilmmn Tibbets seconded the motion and it was reguls
carried. Eayor Eschelbach sent word to Er. Freeman to be on hand. Time of adjournment. 8;50 o'clock P.[.
