A regularly adjourned meeting of the city council of the City of South San Francisco
was held in the City Hall, Wednesday evening, January 22,1941.
This meeting was called to order at V;30 o"clock P.!~. by Nayor GeorGe W.Holston.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found the following members of the council present$- as follows.
.Councilmen, George W.Holston, Reese Lloyd,D.W.Ratto,Rod Tibbetts. Absent,V.Boido.
The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with.
~,~ayor Holston announced that t~® ~ ~' ~ ~ matter of acceptance of t~,e work of the
oonstruction of t]~e library addition was ~ for consideration, statin~ that there were m~ny item
of the contract not ~et completed and some of the councilmen were opposed to t~ acceotance of
work until all co~mCil~en and librar~ trustees were satisfied the contract was fulfille~.
Councilman hatto stated the roof was holding approximately ~ ~nches of water o~f a width
of approximately 18 feet, and this defect should be remedied.

of City AttorneU Coleberd in.the matter of acceptance. ~e cit~~ attorney replied that ~s the wo
~s not completed, on the statement of Architect Gutterson, w~~ a~itted there were a few thin~s
~et not complete, the city could not ~rant acceptance on work that is not complete. Co~pla~nt w
~de some plaster work ~lso was~ faulty, and the plumbing was not uO to contract, Long discussion
was indulged in perlaininp~' to the matter following the city attorney's ooinion. It was f~nal
decided that if the city would purchase the necessary ~ardware contractor Person would put the
same in place~ it L~'.ving au~peared some hardware fixtures were not included ~n the articles of
a~reement. Councilman ~atto introduced a resolution of the -~ty Cou~mcil of the city ~
