A regularly adjourned meeting of the city council of the City of South San Francisco
was held in the City Hall, ~onday evening, September 14th,!940.
The meeting was called to order at 8 o'clock P.~. by ,,,ayor D.W.Ratto
.ROLL CALL.
Roll call found all members of the city council present,as follows;-
Councilmen,V.Boido,George W.Holston,Reese Lloyd,~.Einucciani,D.~.Ratto.
The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with.
This being the date set for the opening of bids for the excavation of channels for Colms
Creek between Linden Avenue and O~ange Avenue councilman tiolston moved ti.e bids be opened.
The motion was seconded by councilman Minucciani and regularly carried.

Councilman Lloyd introduced a resolution of the city ~..ouncil of the City of South San
Francisco orderin~j the construction of a brid~-j~e across Baden Creek, calling2; for bids or seal~
proposals to be submitted and opened at eiglt o'clock P.k. ~onday,September o,8,194o,, in the
0ouncil Chambers in the city hall. The resolution was adopted b~ the following vote;-

ACCEPTIN:i! DEED.
Councilman Boldo introduced a resolution of the city council of the CltF of South San
Francisco accepting a deed to a 6 inch strip of land from American Homes, adjacent to and co~
centric with the southwesterly property line of E1 Oamino ~eal for the construction and ma:
tenance of a storm water drain . ~he resoluti:m was adopted by the votes of all the members ~
the City Council,as follows;-
Ayes, Councilmen,V.Boido, George W.lolston,Reese Lloyd,N.Einucciani,D.W.Ratto.
Noes,Councilmen,None.

lng to the City of South San [rancisco permission to construct on promert~ they own a series

.... ,stipulating the parmission is not ~o be considered permanent,but only
temporary to relieve the present situation and that no title or rights are ~ransferred to th
city. Accepted.
LO6unei~an Lloyd moved that Robert A.Klassen be appointed Works Engineer for the City
South San FranCisco. The motion was secc:.nded by councilman ~inucciani and regularly carried
City attorney Coleberd called the mayor's attention to the forthcoming convention of tl
League of California Cities at Los Angeles,~eptember O1 to the o,~,l~O.Councilman kinucciani
?,'~a¥or natto stated t!ey would be unable to attend . ~,m[a~or Ratto then appointed City attorney
Oolab~i-d~. councilmen Lloyd,Eolston and ~oido and City Clerk McSweeney as delegates from Soutl
San ~¥ancisco.
There being no further business before the ~oard councilman Lloyd moved to adjourn un
