A re~!iularll~ adjourned meeting of the city co~ncil of the Cit] of South San Prancisco,was
was held in the City Hall, Tuesday evenins, ~]iarcb 13 1945
'this meeting was called to order at 7;30 o'clock P.~.i,b~ ~.ayor George W.Holston.
Roll call found all members of the council present;as follows;-
Councilmen, Victor Boido,Charles K.Elder, Ivan ~[.Hays,George W.Holston, ~.Minucciani.
The reading of' the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with.
A communication was received from krs.E.McCully and ~'~rs.Apethia L.Davis,Route 1,~ox P~9~
Colma, asking the city's permission to hold religious services in some suitable place for
special ma.tings, tt wes explained be the chief of police that the meetingswere intended to
be held on street corners, and the petition was denied.
A communication was received from city attorney Coleberd statin~i that under Section 864
of the ~,iunicipal Corporations ~ill,all claims aA[ainst the city must be au~ited by the city
council. He attached a proposed ordinance to repeal ordinance No.9 of the Cit]? of So~th San
Francisco, covering the matter·
ORDINANCE NO.
Councilman Boido introduced an ordinance of the city council of the Cit)of South San
Francisco repealing ordinance No.'9 of s&id city, which ordinance concerned demands against the
City of South San Francisco. ~he ordinance had its first reading,and was laid over to come
up again at the first regular meeting of the city council.
RESOLUIION NO.. 977.
Councilman ~.]inucciani introduced a resolution~of the city council of the City of South
San Prancisco ordering the construction of an outfall sewer extending westerly from the
sewer serving the Lindenville Housing Project~ and calling for bids to be opened by the City
Council,~ionday,April ~,1945,at 8 o'clock ~.M.
The resolution was a~opted by the votes of all the members of' the'council, as follows;-

Councilman Elder introduced a resolution of the city~ council of the City of South San
Francisco, accepting a certain deed from George ~'~.~'iliiams and F.F.Burrows of £'merican ~!omes
conveyin~ a right of way to the City of South San Francisco for the construction and mainten-
ance of ~ storm and sanitary sewers through parcels of land in SQUT~iWOOD NO. 3,.
The resolution was adopted by the votes of all the members or the city council,as follows-

The E~mmandant of the Twelfth Naval District at San Francisco, submitted three copies of
subject revocable p~rmit, pertaining to the outfall sewer line already constructed.
Councilman Hays moved the ~ayor be authorized to sign the permits. The motion was seconded
by councilman Elder and regularl~ carried.
bookkeeping
Engineer Larwood reported that a '-,i ~! ~. system was wanted. ~ayor Eolston appointed
councilmen Elder ~nd ~inucciani as a co~i~.tee on bookkeeping.
Superintendent of Streets ~orman LFnding requested permission to secure copies of ordinances
from the Cit~ of Palo ~'.lto on the subject of sewer rentals, to subdivisio~s, farmers or other
persone wishing the service of city sewers. Granted.
On the subject of the California Golf Club's use of the ;.8outh ~an ~'rancisco sewer privilege,
the city clerk was instructed to write the club, stating the City of South San Francisco, under
new arrangements and covenants,~:wiBh':~tbeplaoe~them on a monthly or Fearly paying basis for the use
of the city's sewer. It was revealed that San mruno and other cities are charging communities
adjacent to them with a sta~ed amount of fees~, depending on the sizes of the inlets, for the
amount charged.
~he clerk was requested to invite the manager or other representative of the club to att~end
the next sessio~ of the council, with a view to entering into an agreement for compenaation for
t~.e service rendered.
~here being no further business before the council, councilman Loido moved to adjourn till
the next regular meeting of the board, L~onday,~arch 19,1~8, at 8 o'clOck P.i~.
