A regular meeting of the city council of the City of South San ~'rancisco was held in the
City ~all,~onday evening, June ~th,1948.
In the absense of ~ayor Seorge W.~!olston. Charles K.Elddr was chosen chairman of the meet,
ins of the council~ and calle~ for order, and t~.e roll call.
On roll call the following members of the council answered
Councilmen, Charles K.Elder, Victor Boido and ~.~inucciani.
~ Absent, Councilmen,Ivan ~'~.~ays and George W~,Eolston.
5he city clerk,having forwarded copies of the minutes to each of the members of the City
Council~ ~ayor Elder asked if there were any errors or omissions in them. Hearing none, he
declerea the minutes, adopted as submitted.
5he first order of business was the opening_ of bids for the construction of a city sewer.
Councilman Linucciani moved that the bids be Opened. lle motion was seconded by councilman
Loido and regularl~ carried·

'ihe city clerk was in receipt of a letter from the St~-te Employees i~etirement System, at
Ssnra~'ento, California, replying to a letter of recent ds. re. ~±he~ said ti:ey had heard from me
on the cost of adding an add4.tional nine employees to t~:e list already furnis?ed them.
said the price would be .~o5 extra, or .i~150 for all ti e employees asked fOr in the crt?trial letter.
The city council agreed to pay the extra .i;o5 and t~.e clerk was instructed to send tt..e .~150
to them at ounce,to assure the service before-: the State's 'new law ~oes into affect.

had lost control of the covering tarpaulins,covering the trucks in their work.

Councilman k, ilinucciani introduced a resolution of the ~it? Council of the City of South
San Francisco,to the effect that the City of South San ?rancis¢o enter into a contract with
the United States of America and the City of San ~runo,in the matter of an outfall sewer l~ne
and pumping station to s~rve said cities~ and the Federal Government.

noted. The reuort stated the cond~;tion of all features in, the building, were in Oad sh. ape~
and the buildinE should be condemned and torn down. Officer'Schlaam asked if the cit? would gyve
him permission to post a sign on the premises , notifying the people of the community of the
