The regular meeting of the City council of the City of South San Francisco was held in
the City hall ~'ionday evening, December 1V,1945.
The meeting was called to order at 8 o'clock P.N~. B~ May~r Oeorge W. t~olston.
ROLL CALL.
Roll call found all members of the city council present, as fpllows,-
Councilman,~.A.Anderson, Char~es K.Elder, Goe?ge W.Holston,~.Minucciani ,Victor Boido.
~he city clerk,having forwarded copies of the minutes of the previous meeting to all
members of the board, ~ayor h~olston asked if an~ members had npticed any errors or omissions.
hearing none, he declared the minutes .adopted as submitted.
A communication was received from ~sabel Toscano, Secretary of the ~[exican Colony of
South San Francisco,ask,Going for a permit to hold a dance in Fraternal Hall on Saturday ,evening,
· :~:: Decemder 31st,1945. Councilman Elder moved the permit be granted,subjec~t to the rule~ ®~
and regulations of the City of South San Francisco. ~he motion was seconded b~, councilman i--
~inucciani and regularl~ carried.
A ~etition, signed b~, 5~ names, was received from residents of ~ayfair Village,as~ing
the city to construct a foot bridge for ~a~fair Village children, at Magnolia & Mayfair streets,
in this city. Laid over until the next meeting of the city council.
Ea~cr Oeorse ~.Holston received a communication from hr. Ahdrew Rocca, ~®~.$a~rChairman
of the City Planning Commission, on the subject of the application of ~r.P.R.Bl~the for an
auto court location ~n Peck's Lots. Mr Hocca endorsed t;e application, and the matter was
referred to City Attorney,~r. John'W.Coleberd, for re-zoning of the land affected.
South San Francisco Grove No.171 of United Ancient Order of Druids, applied to the City
of South San Francisco for permission to hold a free admission dance on S~nday afternoon,
~anuary 6,1~46,dancin~ from 8 o'clock P.k. to 1~ m, at Fraternal'Hall, ~outh San Francisco,
Councilnman Minucciani moved the n~cess~ry permit be gr~nte~. The motion was seconded by
Councilman Elder and regularly carried.
~aunel ConSreras applie~ for permission to hold four eonsecetive public dances in Frater-
nal Hall,commencing Saturday,January 1~,1946. The chief of Police not being present, the matter
was laid over until the next regular meeting of the board.
Claims in the amount of $6,922.20 were next presented to the council for payment:
