Anderson Mayor Geo. W. Holston called the meeting to order at 7:~0 o'clock p. m. TI%e reading of the minutes of the two previo~m meetings was dispens ed with. RE-ZONING This being the ~ate set for the boating on the proposition to rezone certain areas of land in the City of South San ?ran cisco, Mayor Holston asked if t~re were any persons pre- sent to protos,t tae rezoning. Apetition bearing 108 names was presented to the City Council protesting ac follows: We, the undersigned, protest the rezoning of parcels A and B as advertised in the Enterprise of Wednesday~ t~arcn ~0, 1948. A delegation of residents aDP. eared before the City Council to protest to rezo~ing of Parcels A and B for light industry. After discussion Councilman Elder asked if the Paradise Valley residents would meet with the South San ~¥ancisco Planning Commission and go into the matter in detail. The protestants present agreed to ~hi$ a~d Mr. 0. Dietsche 108 Claremont Avenue, was appointed~ to be advised by the Planning Commission of its next meeting. City Attorney Coleberd advised the City Co~mcil that the matter of re-zoning E1 Camino Real could be completed with- out waiting for the ~alance of the re-zoning. No ~urther action was taken. VETERANS ADVISORY COUNSEL Councilman Elder advised the Board that the Recreation Commission asked for the use of the Council Chambers for April 2, 10~6. Permission granted. Mr. J. Gouldne~'appeared before the Council and advised that a Veteran's Advisory Counsel should be formed in this city to assist veterans to adjust to civilian life by ~ V ~ oi i~ them necessary information. He advised that one member was chosen by the City Council aud four other members from the various service organ~zations. Mayor Holston appointed ~.{r. Gouldner. On motion duly made and regularly carrie, d the appointment was confirmed. REZONING FOR AUTO COURTS Mr. P. R. Blythe addressed a communication to the City C°uncil asking for completion of re-zoning of his prop- erty for a~n auto court. The ma*~tor was referred to City Attorney Uoleberd. REQUEST OF P. R. BLYTHE FOR EXTEN- SION OF SEWER A communication v. as received from P. R. Blythe asking that the main sewer l~s extended along Linden Avenue so that sewer connection could be made to the Stickle Building. Referred to Engineer's office. ADJOURI~.!ENT TO APRIL 1~ 1946 On motion by Councilman l~inucciani, seconded by Councilman Anderson and regularly carried the City Council adjourned to ?~onday evening, April l, 1946, at $ o'clock p. m.
