Present: Councilmen Geo. W. Holston, Chas.-K. Elder, Leo Ferko
Emilio Cortesi.
Absent: Councilman Adolph Sani
Mayor Ferko called the meeting to order at V:00 o'clock p.m.
The City Clerk having forwarde~ copies of the minutes of the meeti~s
of August 19th, 20th ar~ 21st to all members of the City Council,
Mayor Ferko asked if there were any errors or omissions. Councilman
Elder stated that in the minutes of August 19th the words "street Work"
should be included in the motion for approval of plans and specificat-
ions for Elm Court. There being no objection this correction was made.
Councilman Sani arrived at 7:18 p.m.
RESOLUTION #11~$
DEED FOR EASemENT
PARKWAY TERRACE:
Councilman Elder introduced a resolution of the City of South San
Francisco accepting deed dated August 20, 1948 wherein Ralph Zanon
and Narie Zanon conveyed to the city an easement for the const~ction
of a storm sewer in and over certain property in Parkway Terrace.
The resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of the members of
the council present.
RECREATION
PLANS:
The Recreation Commission addressed a communication to the council,
attaching letter from Wm. H. Rowe, architect, recommending that the
council approve plans for the recreation buildings at the increased
costs as submitted by Mr. Rowe~ which increase would amount to
approximately $20,000. Councilman Elder mO~ed that the council
approve the recommendation of the Recreation Commission to complete
the plans and specifications for the recreation buildings. The motion
was seconded by councilm~n Holston and regularly carried.
FIRE CHIEF
IE AVE:
Fire Chief Welte requested a leave of absence for a period of 9 to 10
days to attend conference of the Pacific Coast Assn. of Fire Chiefs
at Victoria, B. C., to be held in September. Councilman Sani moved
that Fire Chief Welte be granted leave to attend the conference and
that he be permitted to leave the State for this reason. Councilman
Cortest seconded the motion and same was regularly
ADJOURN~ENT TO

On motion of councilman Holston, seconded by councilman Sani, and
regularly carried, the City Council adjourned to Tuesday, Sept.
19~8, at 8:00 o'clock p.m.
