Present: G. W. Holston, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi.
Absent: Councilman Chas. K. Elder.
Mayor'Ferko called the meeting to order at V:30 P.m.
On motion duly made, seconded and carried reading of the minutes of the
previous meeting was dispensed with.
Ordinance was introduced repealing ordinance No. 1V1 providing for licensL
ing~of business, professions, trades, callings ~nd occupations in the City
of~.~.~uth San Francisco. Same had its first reading.
Councilman Sani intrSduced a resolution of the City of South San Francisco
amending Section ~ of Rule VI of the Personnel Rules and Regulations.
Councilman Holston moved that this resolution be referred to the Personnel
Board. Councilman Sani seconded ~e motion and same was regularly carried.
Stowall & Co. submitted a request for building permit and license to
operate on ~outh Linden Ave. Notion was duly made, seconded and carried
that same be referred to the planning commission for consideration.
Application of Sylvester V. Stromley for house trailer sales license was
over.for fUrther consideration.
Clyde D. Wiznen submitted an application to engage in business of cabinet
and wood working at 458 Grand Ave. As there was a question that this
might be considered light industry, motion was duly made, seconded ~nd
carried that permit be denied.
ORDINANCE #251:
TAXI CABS and
BUSES:
Ordinance No. 251,with reference to Taxi Cabs and Buses, was brought up
for final reading. ~Councilman Sani moved, seconded by councilman Holston,
that this ordinance be read by title only and considered as final reading.
Motion was regularly carried, and city clerk the~ read title of Ordinance
No. 251. The ordinance was adopted by the unanimous vote of the council
members present.
The matter of the Veterans Advisory Council was again brought up and same
was laid over until the next regular meeting.
RESOLUTION #1156: Councilman Sani introduced a resolution of the City of South San Francisco
~5000. payment accepting offer of J. F. Barrett, ~. Hilp and Lawrence Livingston to pay
from Barrett & to the city the sum of $5000.00 in full satisfaction of action No. 35947
Hilp: in the Superior Cou~t, and authorizing the city clerk and mayor to execute
release upon the payment of said sum. The resolution was adopted by the
unanimous vote of the council members present.
Councilman Eolston moved, seconded by councilman Sani, that the meeting
a~journ until Friday, November 29, 1~6, at 4:00 p.m. Motion was regularly
carried.
