ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HELD TUESDAY, APRIL 27, 19~8.
Council Chambers, City Hall
7:30 p. m.
Present: Councilmen Victor Boido, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani.
Absent: Councilman Emilio Cortesi.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ferko at 7:30 p.m.
Reading of the minutes of the two previous meetings was dispensed with.
Councilman Elder introduced a resolution awarding the contract to ~onson Bros. for
the construction of two recreation buildings in the city, the buildings to be known
as the Elm Court Building and the Memorial Park Building. This resolution was
carried by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council present.
Councilman Emilio Cortesi arrived at 7:50 p.m.
Councilman Sani introduced a resolution awarding the contract to ~onson Bros. for the
construction of a recreation building in the city, said building to be known as the
Hillside Recreation Building. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of
all members of the City Council.
City Attorney Coleberd stated Mr. Simpson of Burl Burl Homes, Inc. advised him that
a $10,000 bond had been taken out with the Glenn Falls Insurance Co. covering all
liability in the Buri Buri No.land No. 2 Subdivisions.
~yor Ferko brought up the question of responsibility for displacement of grades at
the new fire site. Engineer Davis was of the opinion that the contractor was
responsible and should rectify any grade dislocation. ~ayor Ferko asked that the
Architect, Engineer and Building Inspector work together in the supervision of
construction of the new fire building.
On motion of Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Sani, and regularly carried,
the meeting was adjourned to Monday, May 3rd, 19&8 at ~:OO p.m.
