Present: Councilmen Victor Boido, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, F~ailio

The meeting was called-to order by D~yor Ferko at A:30 o'clock p.m.
The reading of the minutes of the-previous meetings was dispensed with.
Communication was received from Frank G. Jordan Post ~762 American Legion, requesting
permission te use the Judges Chsm~bers for a meeting place starting Thursday, July 29th
and the first and third Thursday of each month thereafter. ~otion was duly made,
seconded and regularly carried that permission be granted the Lmerican Legioo, Frank
C. Jordan Post ~762, to use the J~dges Chambers as a temporary meeting place.
Communication was received from Works Engineer Chas, E. Randlett requesting authorization
to prepare plans and specifications for the construction of a short section of conduit
to carry the interceptor sewer under the Bayshore Freeway at the Colma Creek underpass.
Motion was duly made, seconded and carried that the Works Engineer be a,~thorized to
prepare the necessary plans and specifications.
An ordinance licensing mechanical amusement devices was read in its entirety for the
second time. The roll call on this ordinance was as follows: 'Ayes, Councilmen Victor
Moido, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi; Noes, none.
An ordir~nce amendimg ordinance No. 269, being the zoning ordinance of the City, came
up for second reading and ~as read by title only. Roll call of this ordinance was as
follows: Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani,
Emilio Cortesi; Noes, none.
City Attorney was instructed to prepare resolution calling for bids for a new street
sweeper.
Various items in new agreement with the Scavenger Co. were discussed.
The City Attorney stated he would contact Frank Davis with reference to obtaining
documents covering the pre-treatment plant.
Mr. S. A. Netherlin addressed the Council stating he desired to protest against
ordinance covering s~ausement d~vices. After some discussion the City Attorney stated
he would draw up the necessary ~en~ment to clarify the ordinance.
On motion of Councilman Sani, seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly carried, the
meeting was adjourned to Monday, August 2, 19&8 at ~:OO o'clock p.m.
