Present: Councilmen Victor Boido, Leo ~erko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi
AbSent: Councilman Chas. K. Elder who arrived at &:20 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ferko at &:OO o'clock p.m.
The American Trust Co., E. H. Moulton & ~o. and Blair & Co., Inc. offering the highest
premium on $100,0OO.00 Sewage Disposal Bonds - 19&9, Series A, CounCilman Sani
introduced a resolution awarding these bonds to American Trust Co.~ R. H. Moulton &
Co. and Blair & Co., Inc. This res. olution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all
members of the Oity Council present.
Mot{on was duly made, seconded and carried that the unpaid balance of the purchaSe
price of the Belair Property be p~id to the United States Government as soon as the
~iO0,OOO.OO had been received on the bond sale.
STOCKYARDS SIGN:
The City Manager stated Mr. Fountain of the Stockyards had contacted him with referen¢
to changing the location of'two directional signs. Motion was duly made, seconded an¢
carried that permission be given the stockyards to change the location of these two
signs.
TRUCK LIC~2~SES:
The City Manager stated that a number of trucks would be engaged in hauling dirt from
East Grand Avenue and it was suggested that these truckers be instructed to pay their
license fee.
Councilman Elder arrived at ~:20 o'clock p.m.
~INDENVILLE STREETS:
The matter of repairing the ~treets in Lindenville was thozoughly discussed but no
definite action was taken.
NATIONAL EABOR
RELATIONS BOARD:
Communication was received from the National Labor Relations Board requesting
permission to use the sidewalk opposite the main entrance to the Armour & Co. plant
for the purpose of holding an election November 8, 19&9, Motion was duly made,
seconded and carried that permission be granted..
SO.S.F. LD. & P~P. CO.- Communication was received from the South San Franc%sco Land & Improvement Co. reques!
.MICHEL & PFEFFER:' lng permission to continue the work of grading in connection with the sale of propert~
to Michel & Pfeffer Iron ~;orks. Motion was. duly made, seconded and carried that
permission be granted South San Francisco Land & Improvement Co. to continue work as
outlined providing same does not conflict with Ordinance No. 286.
ALL SO~S CATHOLIC
SCHOOL:
The City Manager recommended the expenditure of $25.00 for advertising in the program
of the Ail Souls Church bazzar. Motion was duly made, secpnded and carried that a
warrant be drawn for $25.00 for advertising in Ail Souls Church bazzar program.
m~TRIC WORK POLICE
BUILDING:
The Pacheco Electric Co. presented quotations on the electrical work in connection
with the main transmitter switch ~n the new Police Building and City Hall. Motion
was duly made, seconded and carried that this expenditure be approved.

On motion of Councilman Sani, seconded by Councilman Elder and regularly carried the
mae~ing was adjourned to Monday, November 7, 19~9 at 8:00 p.m.
