The meeting was called to order at 8:10 p. m.

Councilmen Victor Boido, Charles K. El~er, ~dolph Sani, Joseph
Bracco, Emilio Contest.
None.
City Clerk ?roving forw.~:~rded copy of tke minutes of the previous meeting to
ali councilmen, Mayor Sani asked if t~ere were any errors or omissions.
There being none, the minutes were approved as submitted.
Communication was received from the Union Oil Products requesting permission
to install a gasoline storage tank and pump at the South San Francisco Scrap
Metal Co. As the Fire Chief ~pproved same, Conncilman Elder moved, seconded
by Councilman Boido, that permit be gr~nted. This motion was regularly car-
ri ed.
Communication was received from the County Clerk advising, that the Board of
Supervisors had called a meeting for Thursday, November 3Otb at 8 p. m. at
t?~e County Court House to consider the Civilian Defense Program and request-
ing council members to be present. Mayor Sani asked the City Manager to
request the Chairman of Civilian Defense of the city to be present and also
asked shy of the council memberm who wished to attend to be present.
Communication was received from t?~e Plannin~ Commission denyin~ the appli-
cation of the Santo Christo Society for the rezoning of Parcels 1, 2, 3, and
4 in Zone B, and recommending that the Lodge Hall be locate~ in the area
previously recommended by the Comm_ission on June 9, 1948. Councilman Eider
moved, seconded by Councilman Boido, that t?~is matter ke reftrred to the
City Attorney for st~dy and report. This motion was regularly carried.

The Planning Commission recommended the .~rantirg of a use permit to the Bristol- ~
Mmyers Company for the manufacture o.f collapsible tubes at the Rough Rider plant. ~
Councilman Elder moved, seconded by Co~,~nci]man Bracco, that the recommendation ~
of the Flannin~ Commission be accepted. This motion was regularly carried. //t~,-/.~'~
The Planning Commission recom'%ended the franting of use permits to the fo]lowing
mantles: Angelo & Verna Fisicano, James M. Douglas, Fmilo A. Tacchi, ~ Andrew
Nicolini. Councilman Elder moved, seconded by Councilman Bo]do, that the recom-
mendations of the Plannin? Commission, with reference to these use permits, be
acceoted. This motion was re~lar]_y carried.
Communication was received from the Planning Commission recommendin~ the approval
of the Daly Subdivision final map. Communication was received from the
Engineer recommendin~ the ap~roval of the final map of the Daly Subdivision, pro-
viding the necessary bond sod filing fee are deposited. Councilman Bracco moved,
seconde~ by Councilman Elder, that the recommendations of the PlanninF, Commis-
sion and the Works Engineer, with reference to the Daly Subdivision map, be
accepted. This motion was regularly carrie~.
Application was received from Richard Soto for a business license for a restaurant
at 215 Lux .%venue. Councilman Bracco moved., seconded b~; Councilman Cortesi, that
the necessary business license be ~ranted provided the Health Department approves
of same. This motion was reg,~larly carried.
Communication was received from the Public Utilities Commission requestin= ~nswer
to their letter of October 22nd, with reference to the instal]in~ of automatic
controlled gates at the But]er .ivenue crossing. This matter was referred to the
City Manager.
Claims in the amount of $27,477.92 wereapproved by the Finance Com:rittee. On
motion d~ly made, seconded, and re~]lar]y carrie~, claims as submitted were or-
dered paid.
Report-for the month of October was received from the Chief of Po]ice. On motion
duly made, seconded, and rem~tar].y carried, the report as submitted was accepted.
An ordinance prohibiting the parkin~ of motor vehicles on t~e east side of Bay-
shore !ti~hway between Grand Avonue and Fine Avenue, and on the west side of
l~buque ~v~nue between Grand Avenue and Butler ~venue was presented and read in
its entirety.
Councilman Bracco ~n+rodu~os· .... a resol~.tion givin? notice of prooosed annexation
of uninhabited territory to be known as Sterlin~ Manor. This reso]?:tion was
adopted by the unanimous vole of all members of the council..
Councilman Elder introduced a resolution accepting deed from the 3toneson .~ r-
potation, coverin.g lots 23 and 24 in block 8, 'finston Manor. This resolution
was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of !.he '~ity council.
Councilman Boido introduced a resolution requestinz transfer of temporary housing
known as Lindenville to Lhe city. This resolution was adopted by the fo].lowihg
~zote: Ayes, Councilmen V. ~oido, C. Elder, A.~ Sani, J. Bracco; ~foes, Councilman
E. Cortesi; Absent, Councilmen, ~one.
On motion of Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Pracco, and regularly
carried, the meetin~ was adjourned to Monday, December A, 1950 at 8 p. m.
