The meeting was called to order at ~:~5 P. m. by Mayor Sani.
Mayor Sani asked if there were any protests against the construction of a sewer
from Cortez Avenue to Alta Vista Drive. There being none, Councilman Bracco
introduced a resolution ordering work of constructing sanitary sewer from
Cortez Avenue to Alta Vista Drive. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous
vote of all members of the council.
Councilman Elder introduced a resolution providing for the issuance and sale of
Series C Sewage Disposal Bonds in the amount of $500,000.00. This resolution
was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the council.
Motion was made by Councilman Bracco, seconded by Councilman Elder and regularly
carried, that letter be sent to the Housing Authority with reference to deferment
of elimination of unsafe or unsanitary dwelling units.
Councilman Cortesi introduced a resolution fixing the salaries to be paid officers
and employees of the city, effective July 1, 1951. This resolution was adopted
by the unanimous vote of all members of the council.
Motion was made by Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly
carried, that the city make an exchange of property with the Pacific Coast Con-
struction Co. when portion of Hillside Boulevard is abandoned.
Motion was made by Councilman Elder, seconded by Counci~n Bracco and regularly
carried, that the Joint highway district be requested to change name of road
that connects Junipero Serra Boulevard and E1 Camino Real at Winston Manor.
The Works Engineer brought up the matter of park and playground site in Buri
Burl, statinglthat Barrett & Hilp would give a site to the city. Motion was
made by Councilman Cortesi, seconded by Councilman Bracco and regularly carried,
that the City Attorney and Works Engineer prepare the necessary resolution and
details for playground area in Buri Burl.

Mayor Sani stated that this July &th was the 175th anniversary of the signing of the
Declaration of Independence and that he would issue a proclamation accordingly.
On motion of Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly carried, the
meeting was adjourned to July 2, 1951 at 8 p. m.
