Present: Councilmen Victor Boido, Charles K. Elder, Adolph Sani, B~ilio Cortesi Absent: Councilman Joseph Bracco The meeting was called to order at &:&5 p. m. by Mayor Sani. The reading of the minutes was dispensed with. Motion was made by Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly carried, that bids for the construction of the Avalon Park Outfall Sewer be opened. L. C. Smith Co. submitted bid in the amount of $36,317.70. This was the only bid submitted. L. C. Smith Company being the low bidder for the construction of the Avalon Park outfall sewer, Councilman Cortesi introduced a resolution awarding the contract to theL. C. Smith Co. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the council present. An agreement with the California Water Service Co. to extend their water facilities to the new sewage disposal plant was submitted. Councilman Elder introduced a resolution directing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute this agreement. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the council present. An ordinance regulating junk dealers in the city was introduced. Motion was made by Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly carried, that this ordinance be read by title only to be considered as the first reading. City Clerk then read title of ordinance: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING JUNK DEALERS IN THE CITY CF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO." The City Manager stated he had received various bids for the Chrysler police car recently wrecked, and the highest bidder was the Owl Garage in the sum of $900.00. Motion was made by Councilman Elder, seconded by Councilman Boido and regularly carried, that the bid of $900.00 submitted by the Owl Garage be accepted. An ordinance establishing various streets in the city as one way streets came up for second reading and was adopted by the followin~ vote: Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Charles K. Elder, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi; Noes, Councilmen, None; Absent, Councilman Joseph Bracco. On motion of Councilman Elder, seconded by CounciLman Boido and regularly carried, the meeting was adjourned to July 16, 1951 at 8 p. m. Tim~ of Adjournment - 5:15 p. m.
