MEET ING: LEAGUE DINN~: SAN MATEO COUNTY FAIR: CALL FOR UTILITY SANTO CRISTO socim USE OF R~: ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HELD TUESDAY, SEPTemBER 11, 1951 Council Chambers, City Hall 4:30 p. m. The meeting was called to order at 4:40 p. m. by Mayor Sani. Present: Councilmen Victor Boido, Adolph Sani, Joseph Bracco Absent: Councilman Charles K. Elder, ~nilio Cortesi City Clerk having forwarded copy of the minutes of the previous meeting to all councilmen, Mayor Sani asked if there were any errors or omissions. There being none, the minutes were approved as submitted. Mayor Sani asked if there were any protests to the assessments for work performed under Resolution No. 1573, So. Maple Argue and Resolution No. 1594, Mission Out- fall Sewer. Councilman Cortesi appeared at 4:45 p. m. There being no protests to South Maple Avenue assessment, Councilman Bracco introduced a resolution approving assessment. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the council present. Hr. Reichart appeared before the City Council and asked for an explanation of the Mission Outfall Sewer assessment. Works Engineer Randlett explained the matter to Hr. Reichart. Thereupon, Councilman Boido introduced a resolution of the City of South San Francisco approving assessment for Mission Outfall Sewer. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council present. A ~ommunica~ion was received from the Division of Highways proposing plan for imp- rovement of Spruce Avenue-Hazelwood Drive intersection. Councilman Cortesi intro- duced a resolution of the City of South San Francisco approving requirements for construction of-traffic signal at Spruce Avenue intersection. This resolution was adopted by the unanimous vote of all members of the City Council present. A communication was received from the Industrial Development Commission advising of a change in meeting place to Oliver's, September 11, 1951. The Mayor asked all who would like to attend to do so. A c~maunicationwas received from the League of California Cities Peninsula Division advising of a dinner meeting September 20, 1951 at 7:00 p. m. at the Coral Reef. Communication ordered filed. A communication was received from the San Mateo County Fair Association advising that Saturday, September 29 has been officially designated South San Francisco Day. Communication ordered filed. Supt. of Streets Henry Schweining appeared before the council and asked the City Council to request the Personnel Board to call an examination~for Utility Man as he was in need of a man to operate the new street sweeper. He was advised to have a letter in for the nex~ meeting. Councilman Cortesi said the Santo CrisCo Society would like the use of the city's roller to do some work on their property. The matter was referred to the Supt. of Streets. ADJOURNM--~T: On motion of Councilman ~oido, seconded by Councilman Bracco and regularly carried, the meeting was adjourned to Monday, September 17, 1951 at 8 p. m. Time of Adjournment - 5:05 p. m.
