City Attorne~ explained the first resolution, after which

Noonan next explained three resolut~ons prepared for Council
attention.
Tae first resolution concerned the transfer of certain monies
from the Sales Tax Account to the Marina Account. After ex-
planation by the City Attorney, Councilman Ahem introduced:

Councilman Rocca introduced a resolation entitled: A RESOLU-
TION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AGREEING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FINANCING OF AN ENGINEERING
F~PORT PROPOSED BY THE GREATER HIGHWAYS COMMITTEE"°

The last resolution concerned the extension of the lease a~ree-

study session.

damages to items in his basement as a result of water In his

larly carried, that the claim be denied and referred to the
City insurance carrier.

San Francisco Yellow Cab Company requesting ordinance amend-
ent as concerns rates and tariffs for taxicab fares.

one year probationary period with the appointment to become
effective immediately upon the retirement of Fire Chief Welte.

There be~n~ nothin~ further, Mayor Rozzi asked if any member
0f the Council had anythin~ they wished to offer under Good
~nd Welfare.
At the request of Councilman Ryan, City Manager Aiel!o ex-
plained the notices which were posted throughout the City
concernin~ the amendment to the Zoning Ordinance which was to
~ive the streets and easements throughout the City the same
classification as the property which ~ they front. He further
commen~ed that this would brin~ the ordinance up to date.
Councilman Ryan asked the Press to so mention, further com-
mentin~ that many inquiries had been received concernin~ this
matter.
Councilman Rocca briefly commented on the past year's activi-
ties of the City, commendin~ and complimenting Vern Kro~h,
reporter for the San Mateo Times, and. the San Mateo Times for
his very fine factual article on the City and its ~rowtho He
likewise expressed his thanks to the various Boards and Com-
missions as well as the City forces for their efforts in the
City's ~rowth.
There bein~ nothin~ further, and nothin~ under Good and Wel-
fare from the audience, Mayor Rozzl adjourned the meetin~
to Monday, January 15, 196~ at 8:00 p.m.
