This meeting is called for the pur- pose of: To authorize ~the firm of John Jenks-Harry Jenks and Paul Adamson to proceed with preparation of plans and specifications for improvements to the Joint South San Francisco - San Bruno Sewage Treatment Plant. Request of Edmund To Dady, Consulting Civil En- ginee~ for permission to cross over Hillside Boulevard for the construction of a Pedestrian overcrossing for the Hillside School. (copy of plans and specifications submitted) Mayor SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HELD TUESDAY, APRIL 24, 1962 TIME: PLACE: 7:30 p.m. Council Chambers, City Hall CALL TO ORDER: The meetin~ was called to order by Mayor Ryan at 7:32 plm. ROLL CALL: Present: Absent: Councilmen Leo J. Ryan, Patrick E. Ahem, Emilio Cortesi, Andrew Rocca, and G. J. Rozzi. None. SSF/SAN BRUNO SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT - AUTHORIZATION IMPROVEMENTS: RESOLUTION NO. 3443: Mayor Ryan remarked that the first item to be considered by Council was the authorization to the firm of John Jenks - Harry Jenks and Paul Adamson to proceed with preparation of plans and specifications for improvements to the Joint South San Francisco - San Bruno Sewage Treatment Plant. Brief discussion followed, during which time City Manager Aiello and Director of Public Works Goss explained the mat- ter. City Attorney Noonan then remarked that a resolution could be introduced by the reading of title only. Councilman Rocca then introduced a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHOR- IZING THE PREPARATION OF WORKING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE JOINT SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO - SAN BRUNO SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT". Roll call vote was as follows: Ayes, Councilmen Leo J. Ryan, Patrick E. Ahem, Emilio Cortesi, Andrew Rocca, and G. J. Rozzi. Noes, none. Absent, none. PEDESTRIAN 0VERCROSSING -- HILLSIDE SCHOOL: The next item for Council action was the request of Edmund T. Dady, Consultin~ Civil Engineer, for permission to cross over Hillside Boulevard for the construction of a Pedestrian over- crossing for the Hillside School. (copy of plans and speci- fications submitted) Director of Public Works Louis Goss stated that the plans had been approved by the School authorities and the State Archi- tectural Board. In answer to City Attorney Noonants question as to whether or not County agencies had checked the plans and specifications, Director of Public Works Goss remarked that he felt the County had already approved this matter. Councilman Rozzi then moved, seconded by Councilman Rocca and regularly carried, that permission to cross over Hillside Boulevard be granted insofar as t~ne City was concerned, pro- vided the School District obtained any other permission or grants from any other agency required and that the School Dis- trict maintain the structure. ADJOURNMENT: There being nothing further, Mayor Ryan adjourned the meeting at 7:43 p.m. RES PECTFULLY SUB/M~I~TED, City Clerk
