Ah~,rn at 8i:00 p.m. P!ledge of Allegiance to the Fltg was recited, after which in- Vocation was given by Reverend J. Norman Allen of Mater Dolorosa Clhurch. Present: Councilmen Patrick E. Ahem, Emilio Cortesi, Andrew Rocca, G. J. Rozzi, and Frank Bertucelli. Absent: None. Mayor Ahem asked if there was a mo~ion approving the minutes Of the regular meeting of FebrUary 4, 1963. Councilman Rozzl moved, seconded by Councilman Rocca, ~hat the minutes of the regular meeting of February 4, 1963, be approved as submitted. Councilman Cortesi requested that t~e minutes of the previous w.eeting, under Good and Welfare, be corrected to indicate that he was not opposed to the Callan Tract annexation, reqAesting that that portion of the minutes be stricken from the record. Mayor Ahern stated that the minutes did not mention the Callan Tract; that this was his statement ~nd not that of Councilman Cortesi, and that Councilman Cortesi did not have the right to Strike his statement. Councilman C~rtesi then further commented Shat he was not opposed to the annexation of the Callan Tract, but that he had only asked for a referendum on the matter. Further discussion followed, after Nhich roll call vote was as follows: Ayes, Councilmen Patrick E. Ahern, Andrew Rocca, G. J. Rozzi, and Frank Bertucelli. Noes, Councilman Emilio Cortesi. Absent, none. Mayor Ahem then asked if there was a motion approving the regular claims as submitted for payment. Councilman Rozzi moved, seconded by Councilman Rocca and regularly carried, Ghat the regular claims totaling $4~,804.37 be approved for Payment. Parking District No. 1 Claims: Mayor Ahern then asked if there was a motion approving the claims as submitted. Councilman Rocca moved, seconded by Councilmar Bertucelli and regularly arried, that the claims for Parkirg District No. l, totaling 67.20, be approved for payment. peckls Subdivision No. 1 Claim: A. Carlisle & Co. claim dated January 31, 1963, in the amount of $303.26 for println~ of Improvement Bonds. Councilman Rozzi moved, seconded bt Councilman Rocca and regu- larly carried, that the claim as submitted for Peck's Subdivi- Sion No. 1 be approved for payment. Notice of Hearing on Planned Commurity Rezoning - (Continued) AMENDMENT OF ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 353 AS AMENDED, AMENDING SECTIONS 3, 3.2, 3.3, 3.~, 3.5, 3.6, 3.8, 4.2, 5, 6 AS~ 7, ALL FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADDING TO T~ ZONING ORDINANCE PROVI- SIONS FOR PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT AND PLANNED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. Miss McElligott, Attorney with the firm of Wilson, Harzfeld, Jones and Morton, explained the first resolution which had been prepared, recommending that the award be made to Brady Construct- [o~s as the low bidder. : ICLty Manager Aiello commented that this was likewise the recom- mendation received from the Housing and Home Finance Agency, and ~hat the bids had been checked and approved by the Engineers, who also recommended the award be made to Brady Constructors. Ciity Attorney Noonan explained the ordinance which had been pre- pared for Council's attention and was ready for its first read- ing and introduction. He stated that a motion could be adopted by Council that reading of the ordinance in its entirety be waived and that it have its first roading and introduction by the reading of title only. There being no objections, Mayor Ahsrn ordered the communica- tion filed. VARIANCE Resolution No. 1569 was received from the Planning Commission recommending permission be granted for the request to var~ from the requirement of a 5,000 sq. ft. lot by resub- dividing two lots at 332 and 33~ Railroad Avenue, (one lot being 50~ x 120' - being 6,000 sq. ft. a~d one lot being 28~ x 120~ - being 3,360 sq. ft.) by adding 11~ of 50~ lot to 28' lot, thus Creating two' lots 39~ x 120~ with ~,680 sq. ft. per lot, subject to the following conditions: that the Architectural Committee review: (1) the possibility of the driveway between the two buildings leading off Railroad Avenue be eliminated and that the area be included in the landscape plan; (2) that if struc- turally possible, provision be made for additional open space for each apartment, such as balconies, etc. Councilman Rozzi moved, seconded bN Councilman Rocca and ~egularly carried, that the recommendation of the Planning Commission be approved and accepted. He then read from the article concerning the matter which appeared in the San Mateo Times. Police Chief Fabbri thanked Council for their acknowledg- ment, remarking that the credit belonged to Mrs. Anderson. Ciouncilman Rocca commented on the recent article in the Advance Sitar newspaper which told of the es'~ablishment of the Can't Bust Em clothing firm in South San Francisco, stating that ~he article ~ent on further to state that the firm was impressed w~th the ciooperation received from the City and County, and the tax base as well. ~ There being nothing further, Mayor Ahern asked if anyone in the udience had anything they wished to offer.
