The City Manager declared the alte_-nate bids received. Mayor Ahem remarked that the matter had l~en discussed at the study ~eeting earlier; since ~arlmlite poles ~ere in the area already and not wishing to change the type of pole it wa~ decided to make the award to the Bay Area Electric Comt~ny for the inswallation of the ~arBelite poles. There being no objections, Mayor Ahem referred the matter to the! City Manager, the City Attorney, and the Planning Commission and requested that a meeting be arrange4 with the eontr~mtor and purchaser to conclude this subject. Letter d~ted September 25, 1963 was received fr~ the Women's American orr (Organization for rehabilitation through training - Peninsula Region) requesting permission to conduct a fund-ratsing candy sale during~ the mouth of November, 1963. Councilman Rocca moved, seconded by CounciDsan Bertucelli and regularly carried, that the request as made be approved. Letter dated September 13, 1963 ~s receiv-d from the Town of Colma with & request for permission to connect to exi-.ting sanitary sewer service for Holy Croes Cemetery. There being no objections, Mayor Ahem referred the matter to the City Manager to work out the details with the Town of Colma, with action to follow at the adjourned meeting to be held on Momiay, October 1~, 1963. There being no objections, Mayor Ahem referred this matter to the City Attorney. There Being nothing further, Mayor Ahem e~ked if any member of the Council had something to offer under Goo~ an~ Welfare. There being none, Mayor Ahem invi~ everyone to view the new Marina and its facilities. He remarked that he feels it is one of the best in the area and one of which the people of S~uth San Francisco can be proud. The Mayor then asked if anyone present in the audience wished to offer scuething under Good an~ Welfare.
