He asked if any written protests had been received, to which the City Clerk replied none had been received by his office. The Mayor then asked if anyone prese.~t in the audience had any protest they wished to offer. There being none, Mayor Ahem declared the Public Hearing closed. Inter-Office Memorandum dated December 9, 1963, received from the Director of Public Works, advising of compilation of bids Ko be submitted ou the City Hall Parking Lot improvement. Director of Public Works Goss declared the bids received, recom- tending award to The Lowrie Paving Cempany, Inc. for plant mix Surfacing, Alternate B, in the amoun~ of $7,124.75. ~lty Attorney Noonan then explained the resolution, after which $ouncilman Rozzi introduced: "A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF iCONTRACT IMPROVEMENT OF CITY HALL PARKING LOT." AMENDING RES0. 1656: MONTHLY REPORTS: GOOD AND WELPARE: Letter dated November 29, 1963, received from the County Mansg- erls office requesting the adoption of the following resolutions: A resolution adopted by the Board of Supervisors urging the Gov- ernor to place the question of Mass T~ausit on the legislative agenda for the budget session commencing in Jan~a~y, 1964. A resolution adopted by the Board of Supervisors urging the Gov- ernor to place the matter of providYng for a State College iu San Mateo County on the same special call agenda. Councilman Bertucelli moved, seconded by Councilman Rozzi and regularly carried, that the recommendation of the Planniug Com- mission be approved and accepted. He further stated that he felt the fses or ordinance should be re- vised.
