Fledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited.
Pzesent: Councilmen Patrick E. Ahem, Emilio Cortesi, Andrew Rocca and Guido J. Rozzi.
Absent: Mayor Frank J. Bertucelli
Ci'~y Attorney Noonan explained the first resolution which had been prepared and
wa!s ready for Council's attention, after which Councilman Rocca introduced:
"A! RESOLUTION FIXING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE REQUIRED FROM PROPERTY TAXES FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR 1965-66."
Roill call vote was as follows, Ayes, Councilmen Patrick E. Ahem, Emilio Cortesi,
Andrew Rocca and Guido J. Rozzi. Noes, none. Absent, Mayor Frank J. Bertucelli.
City Attorney Noonan explained the next resolution, after which Councilman Ahem

City Attorney Noonan explained the next resolution, after which Councilman Rocca

City Attorney Noonan explained the next resolution and attached Exhxbit
al{er which COuncilman Ahem introduced: "A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SALARY
SuHEDULES~ AND INCREASES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1965-66."
Roll call vote was as follows: Ayes, Councilmen Patrick E. Ahern, Emilio Cortesi,
Andrew Rocca and Guido J. Rozzi. Noes, none. Absent, Mayor Frank J. Bertucelli.
City Attorney Noonan next explained the ordinance which had been prepared con-
cefntng the creating of a Recreation Commission. City Attorney Noonan stated the
ordinance was ready for its first reading an¢ introduction and if Council wished a
mo~ion could he adopted that reading of the ~rdinance in its entirety he waived and
that it have its first reading and introduction hy the reading of title only.
CoUncilman Ahern so moved, seconded hy Councilman Rocca and regularly carried.
Ci~y Attorney Noonan then stated that a motio~ could he adopted that an ordinance
entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 212 ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE CREATING A RECREATION CO~ISSION FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO AND DEFINING ITS DUTIES'" he introduced, reading in its entirety having
been duly waived. Councilman Ahern so moved, seconded hy Councilman Rocca.

Andrew Rocca and Guido J. Rozzi. Noes, none. Absent, Mayor Frank J. Bertucelli.
City Attorney Noonan explained the next ordinance which had been prepared concerning
the recreating and re-establishing of a personnel system for the City and repealing
Ordinance No. 216 and all inconsistent ordinances. City Attorney Noonan stated
the ordinance was ready for its first reading and introduction and if Council wished
a motion could he adopted that reading of the ordinance in its entirety be waived
and that it have its first reading and introdJction by the reading of title only.
CoUncilman Rocca so moved, seconded hy Councilman Ahern and regularly carried.

Council next took up the request for a haulinq permit as applied for by the
AAA Construction Inc., whose address was shown as P. O. Box 2043, Menlo Park,
C~lifornia. Discussion followed concerning the route of hauling, the bond to he
posted to guarantee damages to the City's streets as well as ordinances adopted
by neighboring Cities concerning ~Gmage charges to he paid by the truckers to the
Cities so that damages to the streets could be guaranteed.

GOOD AND WELFARE:
Vice-Mayor Rozzi then asked if any member of the Council had anything they wished
to offer under Good and Welfare. Tl~e being none, Vice-Mayor Rozzi asked if
anyone present in the audience had anything they wished to offer under Goad and
Welfare. There being none, Councilman Ahem moved, seconded by Councilman Rocca
an~ regularly carried that the meeting be adjourned to Tuesday, September 7, 1965
at 2:00 p.m.
