The meeting was called to order by Mayor BertuceLli at 7:40 p.m.
The P~e of Allegiance to the Flag was recited.
Present:
Absent:
Councilmen Frank J. Bertucelli, Patrick E. Ahern, Emilio Cortesi,
Andrew Rocca and Guido J. Rozzt.
None
City Attorney Noonan at this time stated that if Council wished they could have the
second reading and adoption of two ordinances which had had their first reading and
introduction at the regular meeting held on June 6, 1966.
This was agreeable to the Members of the City Council.
Mayor Bertucelli ordered the title of the ordinance read. The title of the ordinance
was read. City Attorney Noonan then explained the ordinance and advised the Council
regarding procedure for adoption and passage. Councilman Rocca moved reading of the
ordinance in its entirety he waived and that the ordinance he passed and adopted hy
reading title only, seconded hy Councilman Ahern and passed by unanimous vote.
Councilman Rozzi moved that the ordinance entitled.. "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS FOR DEDICATION OF LANDS, PAYMENT OF FEES, OR
BOTH, FOR PARK AND RECREATION LAND IN SUBDIVISIOhS, AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 297,
AS AMENDED, SO PROVIDING," the entire reading of which has been duly waived, he passed
and adopted, seconded hy Councilman Rocca and passed by the following roll call vote.
Roll call vote was as follows.. Ayes, Councilmen Frank J. Bertucelli, Emilio Cortesi,
Patri:k E. Ahern, Andrew Rocca and Guido J. Rozzi. Noes, none. Absent, none.
Mayor Bertucelli ordered the title of the ordtnarce read. The title of the ordinance
was read. City Attorney Noonan then explained the ordinance and advised the Council

reading title only, seconded hy Councilman Rocca and passed hy unanimous vote.
Councilman Rocca moved that the ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO CONSENTING TO THE ESTABLISFfl~ENT OF A PORTION OF WESTBOROUGH BOULEVARD
WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AS A PART DF THE COUNTY HIGHWAY SYSTEM OF THE
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO," the entire reading of which has been duly waived, he passed by
the following roi1 call vote.
Roll call vote was as follows: Ayes, Councilmen Frank J. Bertucelli, Emilio Cortesi,
Patrick E. Ahern, Andrew Rocca and Guido J. Rozzi. Noes, none. Absent, none.
Mayor Bertucelli at this time made the following statement:
Thank you all for appearing here tonight for this public hearing. The City is happy
that zhere is such a wide-spread interest in CATV franchise for the City. Although we
are beginning the meeting in this room, it is possible that we may have to transfer
later to the Conference Room across the hall because of a conflict with a Planning Com-
mission meeting. If the audience is not large for the Planning Commission, we will
remain here, hut if the audience cannot he accommodated in the Conference Room, we will
relinquish this room to the Commission and we will adjourn in the Conference Room.
There are six or seven firms who wish to make presentations tonight. We will attempt
to follow an orderly process which will give everyone an equal opportunity and will
develop for the City Council the information it ngeds to make an intelligent decision
on this important matter. A representative of each firm will he permitted 10 minutes
for an initial presentation after which City Council and the staff may ask such questions
as it wishes for another 5 to 10 minutes. If any of the others present wish to put
questions to the person making the presentation, it is requested they he made through
the chair, and, as Chairman, I reserve the right :o determine if they are the proper ones
for th.is time and place.
After everyone here tonight has had a chance to s~eak and Council has had an opportunity
to ask a few questions, the matter will he taken under consideration. If more public
hearirgs are necessary, or if we wish to have informal discussions with you or more in-
formation from you, you will, of course, he notified in plenty of time to do a proper job.
We have 60 days in which to make a final determination, hut we will attempt to come to a
conclusion in the shortest possible time, hut we do want to he sure that we take ena~gh~
time to do a thorough job.

Discussion followed at which time Mayor Berttcelli informed all present that the
City Council would study the applications anc the presentations for a period of 60
days, or longer if necessary, weighing each ~pplication carefully before making its
decision.
City Attorney Noonan commented that should ary of the persons present wish a tran,-
script of the Court Reporter Proceedings this evening, they could he obtained hy
contacting Mrs. Fitzgerald of the firm of Mortgomery and Wolfe.
T~ere being nothing further, Councilman Rozzi moved, seconded by COuncilman Rocca
a~d regularly carried that the meeting be adjourned.
